Looks like somebody's hungry. We don't know how one woman was able to turn her black cat away when he begged for some of her dinner. He's so cute! He definitely deserves some of the lasagna she made. But unfortunately, lasagna isn't exactly a cat-friendly food.

We get it, Winston. The smell of dinner has lured us into the kitchen before too.

It was up to the Black cat's mama to let her cat know that no, he wasn't invited to partake.

"Winnie, you want lasagna?" she asked in the footage. "What are you doing? You can't have lasagna!" she cooed.

But pleaaaaaaseee, we can imagine the black cat saying. Just a little bite!

The cat flashed his big eyes and wagged his tail at his mom — just to charm her, we're sure. Sorry, Winston. But you seriously can't have some! The only cat who gets to eat lasagna is Garfield. And he's a cartoon cat!

Hilariously, people in the comments section were urging the woman to give her black cat a little slice. "Hi, veterinary assistant of over 10 years here! I noticed that your cat, Winny, is wagging their tail. That means they do, in fact, want lasagna. Hope this helps!" joked one person. "There’s tears in my eyes please let him have some lasagna," one commenter begged. "As a professional in this field, he can, in fact, have lasagna," chimed in someone else. "Just a touch of lasagna. Just a small little smidge of lasagna for the growing boi," kidded another person.

Can Your Cat Eat Lasagna?

It's sort of surprising that a cat would want lasagna. It's not a part of their typical diet. Before we discuss whether or not your cat should eat lasagna, we should first talk about why your cat would want lasagna in the first place.

It's not clear why a cat would want to eat lasagna. But it might be because they're attracted to the meat smell in the dish. Cats have a strong sense of smell and can usually smell animal protein — meaning that they'll usually be able to tell when you're cooking up something with meat.

As for whether or not your cat should eat lasagna, the answer is (sadly) no. There are lots of ingredients in lasagna that are dangerous for cats, including garlic and onions. Even the lasagna noodles, while not dangerous for a cat to eat, aren't necessarily beneficial to them. So if your cat is sniffing around when you cook dinner, you should probably tell them to leave you be.
