Sharon E. Kohn is a senior legal editor with Commercial Transactions at Practical Law, a division of Thomson Reuters, where she focuses on the topics of advertising and marketing law. Ms. Kohn was previously a member of the Kraft Foods law department for 15 years, where she was chief counsel, marketing services and Planters. While at Kraft, she focused on marketing, advertising, promotion, internet and privacy legal issues, and worked on a wide variety of marketing-related contracts, including promotion agreements, talent and agency agreements, as well as general commercial contracts. Sharon also served as Kraftâs representative on the Childrenâs Advertising Review Unit Advisory Board and the Council of Better Business Bureausâ Childrenâs Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative. Prior to that, she was marketing and advertising counsel at McDonald's Corporation and assistant general counsel at Rand McNally & Company. Sharon began her career as an intellectual property associate at Kirkland & Ellis.
