A local utility company is seeking a temporary part-time Billing Clerk to join their team through the end of May 2025, with the possibility of extension. In this role, you will be responsible for processing payments, resolving discrepancies, and preparing daily reports.

Responsibilities

  • Process customer payments received via mail and drop box.
  • Balance all payments and verify or resolve any discrepancies.
  • Prepare daily reports detailing payment transactions.
  • Perform cash processing duties and apply payments to customer accounts.
  • Utilize text and mail merge functions effectively for communication and reporting purposes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in banking, cashiering, and payment/bill handling is highly desired.
  • Proficient in using text and mail merge functions.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to multitask and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
