Original recipe (1X) yields 36 servings 3 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts 1 cup white sugar ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder ¾ cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 ½ cups white sugar ½ cup butter 2 eggs 1 cup milk 2 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour Directions Combine 1 cup sugar, cocoa, water, and 1 teaspoon vanilla in a saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat to the boiling point, but do not boil. Set aside. In a large bowl, cream together 1 1/2 cup sugar and butter. Beat in eggs. Stir in milk and 1 teaspoon vanilla.
