This has been our family's favorite guacamole for over thirty years. It's a little weird, but trust me. You'll love it!

Ingredients

  • 1 Hass avocado, mashed

  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (such as Hellman's®), or more to taste

  • freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce, or to taste (Optional)

Directions

  1. Mix avocado and mayonnaise in a serving dish until smooth; season with black pepper and hot pepper sauce.

Cook's Note:

Arrange saltine crackers, strips of sweet white onion, and Swiss cheese cut into cracker-size squares on a serving platter. To one cracker, add dollop of guacamole, a strip of onion, and top with Swiss cheese square. Eat.
