Original recipe (1X) yields 12 servings ¾ cup shortening 1 ½ cups white sugar 1 (10.75 ounce) can tomato soup ¾ cup water 1 teaspoon baking soda 3 cups all-purpose flour ¼ teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons baking powder 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground cloves 1 ½ teaspoons ground nutmeg 1 ½ cups raisins 1 ½ cups chopped walnuts Directions Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
