Worth the effort
I made this for family dinner and it was a big hit on a hot afternoon.I made it exactly as written (or seriously- wouldn't it be a different recipe if I'd changed it??) My adult kids loved the ranch dressing and ask for this dish often. Making some elements the day before really does make this easy the day it's being served.

I use a mixture of Louisiana hot sauce and topped it up with Gochujang sauce to mellow the heat and add a different flavour profile. The only other difference was cooking the chicken pretty much all the way through. I only needed to put it in the over to mix the flavours and thicken the sauce a bit. It’s a keeper!

So I was like many and I didn’t have franks on hand. I like spicy food so I used sriracha. Worried if I used the full amount it might be too spicy, I used abo it 3/4 of a the amount and added apple cider vinegar because franks is a vinegar based hot sauce. I sautéed this all in a pan since I didn’t feel the need to throw it in the oven and hope that I didn’t overcook it. It turned out AMAZING. This is now a regular recipe for me. I did not think it was too hot and I will use the full amount of sriracha next time but still keep the 1/4c of apple cider vinegar to balance it out. Served with rice and broccoli.
