I make this often. It's a favourite of ours. To enhance the flavour, use tuna packed in oil like they do in Europe! The flavour in amazing and less "canned" tasting. I buy Rio brand at the Italian grocery store.

I added some red wine and a can of fire roasted diced tomatoes and Italian seasining. Awesome!

Awesome! I can't eat red beans so don't make regular chili. I made this for the homeless I feed every week (enough for 75 people) and saved a little out for us. We loved it and our homeless guys were ecstatic. Will definitely make it agai.

We liked it. Next time I'll add some Old Bay Seasoning, like a friend did. Just added a little more flavour!

This is basically the same recipe I got from my 80 yr old Italian neighbour 45years ago lol. I add little tiny meatballs, salami, and sliced hard boiled egg to each layer as well. I buy all my ingredients at an Italian store and use fresh basil and oregano. I also do not pre-cook the noodles and assemble the night before. The owner of a popular Italian restaurant in town challenged me to beat his lasagna - I did!!!! He was blown away by how good this was and his Italian grandma told him that mine was proper old country lasagna from Northern Italy.

I don't use oil or vinegar; just juice of one lime or more to taste.
