This is a sweet dessert salad that has been a family favorite at my house for years.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 lb marshmallows (about 16)

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 pkg lime-flavored jello

  • 2 3-oz pkgs cream cheese (softened)

  • 1 15-16 oz can of crushed pineapple (do not drain)

  • 1 cup whipping cream (whipped)

  • 2/3 cup mayonaise

Directions

  1. Melt together in top of double boiler the marshmallows and milk. Pour hot mixture into bowl over the lime jello. Stir until the jello is dissolved. Then stir in the cream cheese. Stir until cream cheese has dissolved. Add the can of crushed pineapple. Cool for about 20 minutes in the refrigerator. While cooling whip the whipping until soft peaks form. Blend in the whipping cream and 2/3 cup mayonaise. Pour mixture into a 9 x 13 cake pan and chill until firm.
