I have been making these for years, and my family loves them! I love how the sandwich has a more even distribution of meat, plus no meatballs rolling out! It is peppery, so the only change I would possibly make might be backing off the pepper just as bit if you’re sensitive, but you’ll lose some flavor for sure. I usually increase to 2 pounds of beef to make sure there’s enough for my family, increasing other ingredients proportionately, and makes 2 logs in the same pan, to help it cook through the center.

The concept of making this into a log is great. But I did add ground pork with ground meat and a little more seasoning. This way it didn't have a hamburger taste. But all in all it turned out very good.

It is meatloaf on bread. Imstead of using ketchup you use spaghetti sauce. It wasnt meatballs at all. The name is very misleading.

I have made it several times. It is perfect for me and not as messy as meatballs. Making it in a loaf works very well. I've made these for potlucks, Super Bowl. So when the mood hits? I make this. Everyone that has had them has enjoyed them.
