I have always made these! I cannot even with crumbly scrambled eggs that resemble pebbles lol If/when I have time, I add the extras, but in a time pinch, just the cream (milk or half & half) make a HUGE difference! I have also used this recipe as a base for a great breakfast casserole . LOVE it!

I've made these many times, just not this exact recipe. To keep it simple, I sliced the rolls in half, place a layer of ham (almost always thin honey ham!) then, Baby Swiss and repeat. I also made them with sliced turkey breast and Cheddar Jack for some people. Place the tops on, brush some butter, then sprinkle on some McCormick Grill Mates garlic & Herb seasoning. I serve with sides of yellow, Dijon or honey mustard for dipping. I think I baked at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes.

I've made this as a quick go-to for a long time. I just add some shredded parmesan or mozzarella cheese for the last few minutes. Great with garlic/butter noodles and a salad :)

So. I actually haven't made this yet but gave it 5 stars because it looks delicious! My question is what can be substituted for the eggplant as we aren't fans of it?

I loved the idea! It didn't turn out awful. However, I could not seem to slice the cabbage thin enough, so some were undercooked. And some were over cooked. Maybe I need to invest in a mandolin slicer...

Love this recipe idea!!! As I work late most evenings, I think I'll try the cubed, grilled, frozen chicken breast that I usually have on hand...Finding quick and easy recipes for my elderly father is a challenge....'
