The dough is the perfect consistency and easy to work with. I used large muscat raisins in the Filling, doubled the Glaze and used 3.5 TBSP of milk & 2 tsp of White Vanilla. Baked for 25 minutes at 350. We've had a range of King Cakes and everyone agreed that this was the best. This is a Keeper Recipe! The dough is a little loose. I only ever bake one tray of cookies at a time, and refrigerated the remainder. The next day, the consistency was perfect and could easily be rolled into balls (also then rolled in sugar). I'd recommend refrigerating the dough for at least a few hours PRIOR to baking. My only criticism is that it did not raise as much as I had hoped and was a little heavy. In the future; I would add a bit more yeast. I've tried any number of bread recipes that I would NEVER make again. This one is a keeper! Helpful (0) Peach Gelee Candy 08/19/2018 It requires 3 oz. of pectin NOT 3 Tbsp. As it is written here; the recipe makes peach jam. For candy, the pectin MUST be increased to 3 oz. When corrected; it makes a delicious candy. I wasted a lot of time attempting to set it before discovering the error. I was able to put the "jam" back on the stove the following day and add the remainder of the pectin and make the candy. Helpful (7) Buckeyes 12/29/2016 This recipe is delicious, easy and make a LOT. Rather than using the chocolate chips; I used chocolate disks (Wilton Milk Chocolate Melts) and melted them in the microwave. Helpful (0) Macarons 01/29/2015 The Macarons came out perfect! It was my first time making them. I used a silicone baking sheet and increased the baking time to 22 minutes. Helpful (4)
