The tuna wasn't over powering and the casserole had loads of flavor. It tasted great with chips, but I plan to try crushed Ritz crackers instead the next time. Most often I make a 1st time recipe as written, but based on the varied reviews, I made the following adjustments:> Used whole wheat pasta> Sautéed the onions and mushrooms with butter before adding to mix> Added a soup can of milk and dollop of sour cream to add moisture to the mix> Used (3) 5oz cans of tuna instead of (2)> Used sharp cheddar cheese and more than the recipe calls for... :)> Added salt & pepper to the mix before baking> Baked at 380 for 25 minutes. I used ground turkey, 2 cans of rotel instead of chunky salsa, and colby mixed w monterrey jack cheese. All other ingredients remained the same. Per the reviews, I cooked this in the slow cooker for 1-1/2hrs on high, a lil longer than suggested. YUM-TO-THE-O!!! I will use this recipe over and over, and try it with shredded chicken and ground beef too!
