I doubled all spices except the cinnamon and bay leaves (similar to the top reviewer), substituted 4 garlic cloves for dry, and used a 3.3-lb pork roast. I sliced into the roast, but didn’t cut all the way through, keeping the fat and some of the bottom meat intact, and rubbed the spices onto all the surfaces, allowing the cuts to trap the garlic. Turned out awesome! We will definitely be making this again. So far I’ve used the meat for pork tacos.

Simple side dish with great flavor. Didn’t change a thing. This will become a staple in our house.
