We followed the recipe exactly and made two batches of 17 cupcakes (didn't quite make it to 24). My only complaint is that the recipe uses a ton of bowls, 3 for the batter + 1 bowl for each color. We did 5 colors and I used a finger dipped in water to spread out the layers to the edges of the cupcake liner. It was more time intensive but made for a better reveal when bit into. They were not dry at all. Our bake time was 15 minutes for the first batch and 17 minutes for the second (they were slightly more full). The cake had a fluffy crumb, they rose well (slightly rounded tops), and a sweet buttery flavor. I love that the recipe used 1/2 oil (for use and less expensive!) and 1/2 butter (for the flavor!). I thought that they were a little dry. I will add some almond paste to the recipe and some orange zest.
