  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Slice squash horizontally and scoop out seeds, slice bottom so sits flat. Drizzle with oil, salt and pepper. Place in baking dish flesh side down. Bake for 20 minutes, turn flesh side up and bake for an addition 25 minutes. Meanwhile brown sasusage, pear, celery, onion and pepper. Season with salt and pepper. Drain and add to bread crumbs, egg and milk. When squash is fork tender stuff with sausage mixture, top with cheese and return to oven for 5-10 min. or until cheese is melted and heated trough.

Tips

If you use sausge that isn't sage flavored add 1 t. ground sage or 1 T. fresh.
