I've never cooked with dandelion greens, and this was a great way to use them! The filling was delicious. I made a half recipe also and it made at least 40, I lost count. Where the instructions are lacking is in the cooking. Be sure to use a nonstick pan! My first batch totally stuck to the bottom of the pan and I had to scrape pieced of them out. Also, if you're using nonstick, be sure to use less oil. Even after using much less oil these turned out pretty greasy. It's not really possible to drain on paper towels since they will stick. That was really the only downside; this recipe is time consuming but with a very good result. Topped it with whipped cream while still warm....quick, easy and tasty! Pounded breasts in 1 gallon Ziploc freezer bag..used Black Forest Ham.....did not have dry wine just Moscato but sauce was still good...stirred in some fresh tarragon. Did use Panko crumbs and fried in my electric skillet, finished in oven and made sauce on stove. Helpful (2) Fudge Truffle Cheesecake 08/20/2012 The cheesecake tastes like chocolate mousse. I have never made a cheesecake or even used a spring form pan before. I am the world's worst baker and was surprised this turned out. The only problem was when I undid the spring form, the sides of the cake stuck to the pan causing a huge rip in the cake by pulling it apart. Not sure what I did wrong? Directions did not say to grease the pan or flour it? UPDATE: I have since learned it helps to lightly grease it before putting the cookie crust and filling inside the pan. Also, to run a knife around the inside of the springform pan/baked cake before releasing it from the pan. I took this to work and people raved over it....only complaint was it was really rich....which didn't stop my Sergeant from eating two slices!! Helpful (2) Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce 08/13/2012 I made a carbonara on this site last night and the family did not like it....I didn't want to throw it out since ingredients were expensive. So, made the easy alfredo sauce and OMG.....it is delicious on its own but did the miracle of making the left over carbonara into a dish the hubby wanted seconds...Thanks Dawn! Helpful (1) Spaghetti Carbonara 08/12/2012 Update: Used Dawns Quick and Easy Alfredo sauce over this leftover carbonara from last night and it brought a 3 star dish to a 4.5 star.//////////////////////////It was okay and good...we never have eaten carbonara before....I had no issues of not having enough sauce........It is extremely filling, a half of serving is all my hubby and I could eat so we have tons left over. Does this freeze well? We both agreed it would be better as a side dish to grilled steak and a green veggie and maybe not as a meal. I give recipes 5 stars if I want to go get the ingredients immediately to make again; 4 stars if I am told to put this in menu rotation; So, I give it 3 stars since no one wanted seconds but ate it.
