Made just as it is, it's a sweet, tasty salad. I might cut back on the cranberries next time, if I want something a little less sweet, but as a side dish, it's fine as is. I would add more cherries next time, given the addition of cherry juice to the batter, the bottom layer was a strange, greyish colour. A thicker layer of cherries would break that up a bit, I think. The only change I make is to add about 1/4 cup of coconut milk to the mixture (given that my old blender doesn't work through ingredients without a bit of liquid!). The pudding was still silky and chocolate-y, and I find this adds another aspect to the flavour. Thanks for posting a great recipe! Helpful (1) Vegan Almond Butter Balls 04/13/2016 Given that dates can come in all sizes, 12 dates can range a lot in volume! So I eyeballed the amount of chopped dates & added what I thought gave a good consistency - it turned out to be just over a cup. I also followed the original cook's suggestions of making these with peanut butter and adding cocoa. The end result is delicious! A very quick and easy recipe, even without a blender. Helpful (5) Horseradish Cream Cheese Deviled Eggs 03/19/2014 I really liked this - it has a nice creaminess which the horseradish counterbalances. I'll add a little more horseradish and a pinch of salt next time, out of personal taste. It's a nice variant of the devilled egg! Helpful (6) Shakshuka (Middle Eastern Breakfast Dish) 03/11/2014 I followed the author's suggestion and added some spices to this - dry roasted cumin and paprika before adding the onions. It turned out to be a wonderfully tasty, fragrant dish. As written, it's excellent, but it's also delicious finished under the broiler with some mozzarella on top, and if you don't have zucchini, finely diced eggplant works well, too.
