Easy to make. As others suggested I added a tablespoon or so of Italian dressing for extra flavor. It does get better after being refrigerated for a while. We threw them away. Helpful (0) Apple-Raspberry Crisp 10/11/2019 the sugar is only in the filling with none in the crisp topping. Big mistake! The filling is OVERLY SWEET and the topping tastes only of cinnamony flour. Helpful (0) South Texas Borracho Beans 09/02/2019 This is good! I had to adjust the seasoning a bit, and I used fresh garlic instead of powdered. I also added more heat. Will make again. Helpful (2) Chef John's Fresh Salmon Cakes 08/26/2019 Just made them for dinner, Chef John does it again! I made them exactly as written. They are delicious. Helpful (0) Braised Corned Beef Brisket 03/25/2019 I've made this 4 times. The only change I make to the recipe, I use a large onion and slice in 1/2 thick rounds and layer them in the bottom of the roasting pan. I lay the brisket directly on the onions. I sprinkled the chopped garlic directly on top of the roast pour liquid over the top of the roast, cover tightly with foil and roast for 5-6 hours. Twice, I've taken the roast out after 3-4 hrs, add small new potatoes and Brussels sprouts then TIGHTLY cover again and put back in. This did not change the juiciness of the meat. My family loves this recipe!
