A savory waffle with a bite of tang from the buttermilk and cheese! The cornmeal adds a bit of texture. I developed this recipe because I wanted a savory waffle instead of sweet. Great with lots of real butter!

  • Mix buttermilk, cornbread packet, and pancake mix together, add the egg and oil. Fold in the cheese. Pour by 1/4 cup fulls into a heated, greased waffle iron. Follow manufacture;s instructions for using your waffle iron.
