I brined my turkey for 11 hours then deep fried it. Flavor was excellent, not overpowering just a great flavor. Bird was juicy and tender and skin was beautiful brown. I used shredded venison steak only because I didnt have ground beef on hand. I added diced green chilies to the meat along with garlic and onions. Also, I used flour tortillas but next time will use corn. Doctor it up with more cheese and serve with sour cream....yum! The only tweak I have is doubling the tomatoes. I've added a bit of water too depending on how the rice cooks up...we don't like it dry. I serve it topped w sour cream. Yum! Tonight, I made it with chicken (boneless breast, diced very small) per hubby's request. It's just as delicious! This has become a family recipe. Thank you!
