Flixer

I made this recipe for a group of 12 men and boys ranging in age from 82 to 8 and they devoured it! Each one went back for seconds and some even had a third helping. They loved it. I doubled the recipe and used a full tote bag of apples (like they sell in the grocery store) for 13"x9" pan as I like a thick crisp. Two pans, one was Macintosh, the other Gala, both equally enjoyed. I also sprayed the pans with canola oil before filling them. Plus I did add a dash of nutmeg to the apple filling. Cook until bubbly around the edges and the apples are fully cooked (some types of apples take longer than others). The 13 year old even wants this as his birthday cake next year! Enjoy!!

I added 2 cups of dark brown sugar.

Used granny smith apples. Did not use lemon juice. This is easy and delicious.
