I purchase fresh bakery sub/hoagie rolls. Pile on tender roast beef slices, sauteed green, yellow, red peppers strips, caramelized onions, provolone cheese slices (or your preferred) melted while quickly broiled in the oven (watch constantly & carefully!) or toast in an air fryer basket a minute or 2. Serve with a side of beef au jus for dipping. I take a shortcut and buy a packaged mix. SO tasty. I enjoy this spread a lot and appreciate all the other creative ideas. I've had people wonder why my roast beef french dips taste so good. It's also adaptable, so if you like more or less horseradish, dill taste, pepper, salt, etc., then adapt it, but I tend to try as is first, then taste. I think this is now a must and I suggest if you have time, make it earlier or a day before to let the flavours meld covered in a bowl or in a mason jar in the fridge. Excellent, but it's still tasty same day. Thanks for posting. It's in my rotation now. PS: I have a very fussy family guest who is afraid of horseradish, but gobbled the offering and still requests without knowing it that the creamy, jarred spoonful forms part of the subtle flavor. I have another who adds another tablespoon of creamy jarred horseradish to their bun. Do your own thing to your taste! Needs a boost of flavor and more dressing as the pasta absorbed a good portion between prep and serving. Next time I'll add some fresh lemon and maybe even some flavored vinegar. For the last few minutes I did crank the heat all the way up, but that's only because I like a hearty sear of brown on my veggies. Added in a little fresh thyme with the parsley as well. Had to add in a bit of butter to final dish because it was a tad dry. Great way to use up the Brussels sprouts I got on sale at my local farm stand. Made some roasted sweet potatoes with cinnamon and honey as a side. :) Helpful (0) Pumpkin Dump Cake 07/21/2012 Very good! The only thing I added to the pumpkin mix was 1/4 tsp nutmeg. The cake on top was a little thick, I had to use about 1/2 stick butter more than called for to cover the dry spots. The filling was good, but could have used a little more flavor. the Topping was AMAZING and made the dump cake. Took this to a party and got alot of compliments on it, thank you for sharing! I did have to bake the pie for about 15 minutes more than the called time. Turned out perfectly!!! Thanks for sharing! Helpful (6) Avocado Salad 06/25/2012 VERY good salad! I did double the amount of avocado, only used 1/2 a red onion (which was plenty in my opinion), used 1 green pepper & 1 red pepper, a whole lime, added minced garlic & just eyeballed the cilantro. Additionally, I placed some crumbled queso fresco on the side for people to sprinkle on top & it was pretty much an amaaaazzing addition. THANK YOU for sharing! Helpful (0) Easy Corn Salsa 02/10/2012 I made this with (ok, more like I did the work and he stirred the ingredients) my bf for a potluck at his work. I just got a text that said "everyone loved it, you did good!" (lol) I just made a few tiny changes: 1) subbed red pepper for orange 2) added half a can of black beans 3) used closer to two tbs lime juice 4) subbed a chili pepper for jalapeno (what we had) 5) subbed garlic salt for regular salt.
