January 2024 I made some modifications: I added 8 oz. mushrooms, used parmesan instead of mozzarella cheese and flour instead of cornmeal. The first patty was falling apart so I only fried that one but it was delicious! I put the rest in a loaf pan, froze it, and plan to bake it later. You want them on dry side, so you don't have a gooey mess. I put mushrooms and parmesan and herbs seasoning in mine. I cooked my in air fryer. My family loved them. I screwed with it entirely, admittedly. It seems to be not-so-easy to mess up though. I added some extra brown sugar and chocolate chips. I also baked them for about 6 minutes with both batches in at the same time, then moved the bottom batch to the top rack and the top to the bottom rack and baked for another 6. Afterwards they weren't as brown as I liked so I allowed them to cool in the oven with the door closed. After around 5 minutes I took them out. They were best when eaten warm. I agree with SAWASEWA, they did get hard after they cooled completely, however the middle remained chewy. Great recipe and nice to be able to call something truly homemade >w Helpful (1) Tofu Lasagna 01/19/2014 Just made this recipe. It was actually the first time I've ever made lasagna! Fabulous!! I changed it a tiny bit, like everyone else. I omitted the milk(just because it seemed kinda out of place, and I wanted to avoid the cheese and sauce mixture from becoming to watery), added a cup of boiled spinach, a couple of seasonings, extra mozarella,and extra sauce for on top, since there wasn't enough for the final layer.
