Easy and rich. A nice indulgence once in a while.
Preheat oven to 350
Peel and slice or cube potatoes
Place potatoes in a baking dish, salt and pepper to taste
Add heavy cream, enough to cover the potatoes enought to leave the tops uncovered
Spread generously with cheese
Top with bread crumbs, if desired
Bake 30 to 45 minutes until cheese is melted and golden brown
Coarsly cubed rather than sliced is a nice variation. Great with any meat or poultry dish with a green veggie.
