Emily Monaco Emily Monaco is a cheese expert and food writer passionate about the intersection between food, history, and culture. Her work has previously appeared in Atlas Obscura, Food & Wine, the BBC, EatingWell Magazine, and more. She is the co-host of the Terroir Podcast and managing editor of restaurant review site Paris by Mouth, where she also works as a tour guide sharing French food and wine with visitors to the French capital. Education: Emily holds a master's degree in French and Comparative Literature from the Sorbonne and a bachelor's degree in Global Communications from the American University in Paris. She also previously attended the University of Toronto, where she studied Linguistics, Italian, and Cinema. She earned her DALF C1 diploma in French fluency at the Collège International de Cannes in 2007.She attributes her journalistic background and innate curiosity as a driving force behind her 15-year career in the industry.
