Lodge Cast Iron's New Rosie the Riveter Pan Celebrates International Women's Day

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of women gaining the right to vote, and International Women's Day on March 8, Lodge Cast Iron is releasing a new product: the Rosie the Riveter Cast Iron Pan.

Rosie the Riveter was the archetype of hard-working women who took to the lines of military factories and kept them rolling during World War II. The real-life inspiration for Rosie came from Rosalind Walter, who passed away this week at age 95.

The new skillet design marks the 2020 addition to Lodge's Made in America Series, an annually updated line of pans that highlight Lodge's commitment to their products remaining American made for 124 years. (Lodge's factory is in South Pittsburg, Tenn.) The 2019 Made in America skillet features a bald eagle, an emblem of the United States.

The Rosie the Riveter Cast Iron Pan is available in Lodge factory stores and on lodgemfg.com for $19.20. The price is also a nod to the historical anniversary of American women gaining the right to vote.
