What You Can Expect in Allrecipes' 30-Minute Meals Cookbook

There are a lot of cookbooks out there—some that are better for your coffee table, and some that are more utilitarian. This cookbook falls into the latter. There's not a lot of fluff here: just quick and easy recipes that your family will love. Trust me when I say this is something you'll use over and over again.

There are over 135 recipes in this cookbook, all of which come together in 30 minutes or less. The recipes were sourced from Allrecipes' community of cooks—so you know these are the things that people across the country are actually eating. Just like on Allrecipes.com, you can see who the recipe was submitted by, the community rating, and oftentimes an actual review of the recipe from one of our readers.

The cookbook is divided into eight sections: Breakfast & Brunch; Beef & Pork; Chicken; Fish & Shellfish; Sandwiches, Salads & Pizzas; Pasta & Noodles; Soups & Stews; and Veggie Forward. The majority of the cookbook is geared towards dinner ideas, but as the first section suggests, there are smattering of recipes for breakfast, too, including swoon-worthy Chunky Monkey Pancakes (pancakes with chocolate chips, bananas, pecans, and whipped cream).

My favorite section is Pasta & Noodles, because I usually turn to pasta when I don't know what else to make for dinner. I like how creative this section is—instead of basic mac and cheese, you can look forward to Bacon White Cheddar Pesto Mac and Cheese or Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese. I also love the Ramen Carbonara recipe, submitted by user Betty Soup. It takes ramen noodles and dresses them up with Parmesan, egg, frozen peas, and bacon.

Where to Buy 30-Minute Meals
