Amazon’s disaster relief efforts use our global logistics and technology capabilities to provide the fastest, most effective aid. These strengths enable us to ship Amazon-donated items, and items donated by partners, to communities as soon as possible after a natural disaster. Since 2017, Amazon has donated more than 25 million items to communities impacted by over 186 disasters around the world. Amazon has established 15 disaster relief hubs in disaster-prone areas around the world to respond quickly with ready-to-go relief supplies.

Amazon’s disaster relief program deploys critical infrastructure support, allowing emergency responders and nonprofit organizations to focus on their vital work of helping communities in crisis. We stock relief hubs with thousands of essential supplies that are ready for delivery to organizations on-the-ground, organize our fleet of cargo jets and trucks to deliver the items, and leverage AWS cloud technology to help emergency responders better understand and react to the situation.
