Dr Karl explains how door handles made of copper could help fight COVID
Frequently-touched surfaces like door handles, taps and handrails could disinfect themselves if they were made of copper. But what’s the science behind this?

When NASA classified Karl as non-astronaut material in 1981 he walked straight into ABC Radio station Double J and offered to talk about the space shuttle launch. Dr Karl is also the author of 40 books, the winner of an IgNobel Prize for his work on belly button fluff, and one of Australia's 100 National Treasures. He even has an asteroid named after him — Dr Karl/18412!
