Good is the first album recorded by the Boston based alternative rock trio Morphine. It was originally released in 1992 on the Accurate label, and then re-released by Rykodisc in 1993.
Track listing
All songs written by Mark Sandman (except as noted).
Good is the story of John Halder (Mortensen), a German literature professor in the 1930s, who is reluctant at first to accept the ideas of the Nazi Party. He is pulled in different emotional directions by his wife, his mother, his mistress (Whittaker) and his Jewish friend (Isaacs). Eventually Halder gives in to Nazism in order to advance his career. He is granted an honorary position in the SS, due to his writings in support of euthanasia. His involvement in the party makes his relationship with his Jewish friend more and more fraught. Finally, Halder finds himself working for Adolf Eichmann. Under the pretext of work he engineers a visit to a concentration camp where he imagines that he sees his emaciated friend. Seeing inmates arriving and the suffering of those at the camp he realizes what his deeds have accomplished.
Good Worldwide Inc., is a United States-based company with offices in Los Angeles, CA, New York, NY, and Seattle, WA that promotes, connects, and reports on individuals, businesses, and non-profits. Good produces a website, a quarterly magazine, online videos, and events. The content covers a variety of topics, including the environment, education, urban planning, design, food, politics, culture, lifestyle, technology, and health. Good Worldwide Inc. is the consolidation of originally separate brands: Reason Pictures, Good Magazine, and Good Digital, in partnership with Causes, a Facebook/MySpaceapp promoting donations of time and money to charities and non-profits; Goodrec and Govit, an application that connects US citizens with their elected representatives. Good Worldwide Inc. is made up of three organizations: Good/Media, Good/Community and Good/Corps.
Good Media
Good/Media produces an online news site, www.good.is quarterly print magazine, Good Magazine. The magazine was started in 2006. The website receives about 10.1 MM unique visitors to its website each month. In December 2015 most of its editors were fired. The firings were "for strategic reasons" to shift Good's focus to its social network. Eight former Good Magazine editors and writers raised funds on Kickstarter to create the one-shot magazine Tomorrow before going their separate ways.
The series features a cyberpunk story incorporating references to numerous philosophical and religious ideas where the heroes fight a desperate war against machine overlords who have enslaved Humanity in an extremely sophisticated virtual reality gestalt. Other influences include mythology, anime, and Hong Kong action films (particularly "heroic bloodshed" and martial arts movies).
Two of the Matrix video games, both supervised by the Wachowskis, are a part of the official chronology. Enter the Matrix, mainly focused on Niobe and Ghost and also written by the Wachowskis, connects the story of the short animated film Final Flight of the Osiris with the events of Reloaded, while The Matrix Online is a direct sequel to Revolutions.
Matrix is the title of a Canadian-produced fantasy/adventure series that ran for 13 episodes during 1993 on the USA Network in the United States. The series later enjoyed a brief revival of interest due to a coincidence involving one of its stars.
Synopsis
The series starred Nick Mancuso as Steven Matrix, a hitman who is killed during a job and sent to a version of Purgatory called The City In-Between. There he is given a choice: to be sent to Hell for all the murders he's committed, or return to Earth and help people. Once alive again, Matrix receives periodic assignments from The City In-Between.
In 1999, Carrie-Anne Moss became popular for her appearance in the film The Matrix, which had no relationship to the television series apart from its title and Moss' involvement. As a result, however, Matrix was rebroadcast in Canada.
Production
Science-fiction veteran David Winning directed an episode entitled "False Witness" in 1993.

Morphine - Buena (Official Music Video)
You're watching the official music video for Morphine - "Buena" from the album 'Cure for Pain' (1993).
Hailing from Cambridge MA, the self proclaimed "low rock" group Morphine were a dynamic part of the 90's alt-rock movement. The trios' distinctive combination of saxophone, double bass and drums merged with the vocal stylings of lead singer Mark Sandman to create a truly original sound. Morphine's most popular releases include the albums "Cure for Pain", "Good", and "The Night" which was posthumously released by Sandman's bandmates after his passing.

Dying felt so goddamn good today
If I was ever alive well it's hard to say
It was kissing my eyelids and burning my face away
Dying felt so goddamn good today
We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs
Eating dead flowers bleeding in a strange daze
I was cutting throats and eating tears
Smiling in a ruined age
Douse my love everything with gasoline
Grave flower blooms at your red light death scene
We dance the electric Pagan Love Song
We hunt with the children paling in the catacombs
Trippin' on real blood in strange sunshine
Have you felt such weight upon your eyes
Sister I been trippin' in your sky
I woke up adrift in a Technicolor bliss
Ten million miles high

Satan, he come trippin' 'round midnight
Circle jerkin' redneck truckers' dream
You scream, I scream
Everybody screams for morphine
I won't love you, mama, I just fiend your morphine... your morphine
We send, the love, to the skull
I am the mother, the father, the killer
Forever and ever all right
I am the shapeless, the deathless, remorseless
Forever and ever tonight
I'm feelin' hollow again
I am the mother, the father, the killer of light
I'm gonna cut you motherfucker, God's cocksucker
