The national parks of France is a system of ten national parks throughout metropolitan France and its overseas departments, coordinated by the government agency Parcs Nationaux de France. The French national parks protect a total area of 3,710 square kilometres (1,430sqmi) in core area and 9,162 square kilometres (3,537sqmi) in buffer zones in metropolitan France. This puts over 2% of the total area of metropolitan France under some level of protection. French national parks draw over seven million visitors every year.
Protected areas in Tanzania are extremely varied, ranging from sea habitats over grasslands to the top of the Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa. About a third of the country's total area is protected to a certain degree as a national park, game reserve, marine park, forest reserve or the like.
The following list gives an overview on the various protected areas in Tanzania including their predominant habitat, wildlife and flora. Especially remarkable species (endemics or those occurring in unusually large numbers) are set in bold.
National parks
All 16 national parks together comprise an area of more than 42,000km2. They are administered by the Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA). Names like Arusha and Serengeti are well known, partly due to films about African wildlife.

ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK NAMIBIA | what animals did we spot?!
Etosha national park in Namibia is the best place in the country to view wildlife. SUMMARY

This is a list of national parks in Africa. The nature of the parks varies considerably not only between countries but also within some nations – the degree of protection, accessibility and type of environment for which it is intended to deliver protection. Some parks have been cleared of their original human population, others have always been essentially uninhabited, while yet others contain significant population centres.
National parks can be found in a large majority of African countries, being most numerous in Gabon, Kenya and Tanzania. Some nations also have considerable areas designated as private parks, game reserves, forest reserves, marine reserves, national reserves and natural parks. These are not included in the list below, even though some of these may resemble some national parks. For more information on such zones, see the individual articles on each country.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

African national parks are as diverse as the continent itself, ranging from the protected, snow-capped peaks of Morocco’s Toubkal National Park to the shipwreck-littered beaches of Agulhas National Park in South Africa. While most are located in Southern or East Africa, each park offers something unique. From Big Five parks to untamed swathes of desert and jungle; from walking safaris to river cruises, there’s a park for every kind of traveler.

Etosha national park in Namibia is the best place in the country to view wildlife. The name Etosha literally means "great white area" and refers to its large salt pan, considered the biggest in Africa. However, the main draw for travelers is the abundance of wildlife that you can find here. Etosha national park is home to 114 large and small mammal species including giraffes, elephants, zebras, rhinos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, among others. We saw a whole bunch of different animals as you can see in this video. Elephants were by far the easiest to spot and were walking around the whole park. However, lions, hyenas, rhinos, and cheetahs are harder to see. That's why we recommend staying at least a few days in the park. We stayed 2 days but thought it would have been better to stay 3 days if possible. Etosha National Park has a total surface of 22,270 km², making it one of the largest parks in Africa and therefore offers a lot of amazing self-drive adventures. The park can be accessed through multiple gates as well as there are multiple places to stay, from gated campsites to hotels. Use this video to inspire your own self-drive safari in Etosha national park in Namibia soon!
