HOW TO BE SAVED AND GO TO HEAVEN FOR FREE
The bad news is that we have all sinned against God and are destined for eternal punishment in Hell on our current trajectory. The good news, though, is that God sent His only Son—Jesus Christ—in human form to live the perfect life that we could not live and died on the cross for all the sins of our lives (past, present, and future). Then, He was resurrected by God on the third day, which proved that He was the Son of God and that His sacrifice had been accepted by God; and He was seen by over 500 witnesses after His resurrection. Most Popular Web Browsers 1992 - 2024
This is an update to this popular video with additional browsers and information. It starts with the second web browser ever created, Line Mode, and includes the most popular browsers from those first few years. Note that no browser ever really drops to zero since there's always a hobbyist trying to use it. Data for the first half of the video is sourced from Wikipedia and many articles from that time while the data for the second half of the video comes from StatCounter.
Here's the text about the first browsers in the video:
1992, **Line Mode**, Second web browser ever created
1992, **MacWWW**, First Mac web browser
1992, **ViolaWWW**, First browser to support scripting and stylesheets
1993, **Mosaic**, First to be widely available on most OS

A web browser is a program on your computer, tablet, or smartphone that allows you to view websites. Some common web browsers are Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. Because web browsers are often produced by the same companies that produce operating systems and search engines, it is easy to confuse the three. An operating system, like Windows, Mac OS, Linux, or Android, is the software that is built into a computer or mobile device that allows the user to access programs, save files, and communicate with the device’s hardware. A search engine, like Google Search or Bing, is a website that helps users find the information they need on the World Wide Web. It is important to note that a web browser is also not the internet or the World Wide Web itself, just the program you use to view webpages on the World Wide Web.
A web browser is like a librarian and translator, finding the web page you requested, then converting code like this into something more user-friendly. When you request a web page, either by clicking on a hyperlink or typing a URL (universal resource locator) into the address bar, the browser sends this request to a DNS (domain name system) server. The DNS server then connects you to the server where the web page you want is stored. This server then sends the source code for the web page back to the browser. The source code is written in a variety of languages that instruct the browser about how to show the web page to the user. For example, HTML (hypertext markup language) labels the content by type, so that the browser knows what is a title, what is a paragraph, what is an image, etc. CSS (cascading style sheets) tells the browser how these different types of content should be displayed, indicating the size, position, and color of text, for example. More complicated elements of the web page, including interactive elements like chat windows, are often written in JavaScript.
In addition to finding and displaying web pages, most web browsers include features that improve the internet-going experience. For example, you can review the list of web pages you’ve previously visited using the history function, or bookmark a web page to access again later. A web browser can temporarily save some parts of the source code of web pages you’ve visited in a cache, so that if the web page is revisited, it can be displayed more quickly. The web browser may also store data using cookies, which are small pieces of data often used to save your progress on web games, or to save your login session so you don’t have to re-enter your password every time you visit a particular website. Finally, many web browsers allow you to install extensions, which offer additional features like appearance customization, ad and pop-up blocking, and password management.

All we must do to go to Heaven and be saved from our sins is to believe in Jesus—believe that He is the Son of God, who died, was buried, and rose from the dead for all the sins of our life. It’s an act of will where we place our trust in Him alone and His finished work on the cross as the payment for our sins. Salvation is a free gift from God that is fully paid for by Jesus, with no good works required; all we must do is accept it through faith in Jesus. After we place our faith in Jesus, we receive the Holy Spirit, which guarantees we are saved and will spend eternity in heaven with Him.
Below are some good Bible verses from the New King James Version translation that illustrate this good news:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
[Jesus said] “...he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life.” (John 5:24)
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6).
But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law...We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ...For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood...God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. (Romans 3:21-27)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. (Romans 5:8-11)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." (Romans 10:9-11)
And since it [salvation] is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved. (Romans 11:6)
In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him. (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10).

1993, **Cello**, First Windows web browser
1994, **Lynx**, Oldest web browser still maintained today
1995, **Netscape**, Launched at $49 with a 90 day trial
1995, **IE**, Launched as part of Windows 95
1996, **Opera**, Launched to the public as trialware
1997, **Netscape**, Held 70% of the market but IE being part of Windows was gaining fast
1998, **Netscape**, Acquired by America Online for $4.2 billion
1999, **IE**, Microsoft was taken to court for violating antitrust laws
2000, **Netscape**, Version 6 launched with AOL Instant Messenger
2001, **IE**, Microsoft was found guilty of unlawful monopolization and decided to split IE from Windows
2002, **IE**, Crowned the official winner of the first browser war*
So anyway, what is your favorite browser?
