Let's talk about the symptoms of vitamin C deficiency you may have never heard of before.
Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms:
• Bleeding gums
• Fatigue
• Loss of collagen
• Lowered immune system
• Increased risk of biofilms
Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work.
When you're deficient in vitamin C your body will allocate the vitamin C you have to the essential enzymes, but not all of them. A complete lack of vitamin C is fatal.
Lesser-known symptoms of vitamin C deficiency:
• Hypochondria
• Depression
• Perifollicular hyperkeratosis
• Anemia
• Dry hair
• Inflamed veins
• Shortness of breath
• Problems with adrenaline
The best sources of vitamin C are fruits and vegetables. Juice, like apple juice, is not a good source of vitamin C. Juice has too much sugar and is pasteurized, which destroys natural vitamin C.

Commonly known vitamin C deficiency symptoms:
• Bleeding gums

Vitamins are cofactors that work with enzymes. Without vitamins and certain minerals, important enzymes in the body can't work.

Cơ thể người khi bị thiếu vitamin C sẽ dẫn đến tình trạng thiếu máu, nướu răng sẽ dễ bị chảy máu, da bầm tím và lâu lành các vết thương.
Vitamin C đóng vai trò rất quan trọng trong cơ thể người, giúp duy trì sức khỏe của da, xương, sụn, răng và mạch máu, bảo vệ các tế bào của cơ thể khỏi bị lão hóa. Việc sử dụng vitamin C với liều lượng khác nhau sẽ cho tác dụng khác nhau với từng người.
Do cơ thể không có khả năng tự sản xuất vitamin C nên mỗi người cần phải uống vitamin c đúng cách, đầy đủ bằng cách sử dụng thực phẩm giàu vitamin C như trái cây họ cam, quýt, rau cải...hoặc có thể sử dụng vitamin có sẵn dưới dạng viên nang và viên nhai.
Những tác dụng không thể phủ nhận của vitamin C với cơ thể bao gồm:
Tạo collagen và một số thành phần khác với vai trò tạo nên các mô liên kết ở răng, xương, mạch máu.
Tham gia vào quá trình chuyển hóa protid, glucid, lipid,...
Tổng hợp các chất như catecholamin, hormon vỏ thượng thận,...
Vitamin C là chất xúc tác phản ứng chuyển Fe+++ thành Fe++ để có thể hấp thu sắt ở tá tràng.
Giúp tăng cường sức đề kháng và hệ miễn dịch của cơ thể.
Vitamin C kết hợp với vitamin A và E để tham gia vào quá trình chống oxy hóa, trung hòa các gốc tự do.
Theo nghiên cứu của các chuyên gia dinh dưỡng, giới hạn tối đa của vitamin C mà cơ thể có thể chấp nhận được là 2.000mg vitamin C đối với người trên 19 tuổi. Mức giới hạn dành cho phụ nữ mang thai và đang cho con bú cũng tương tự như vậy. Mức vitamin C giới hạn hàng ngày cụ thể của trẻ nhỏ và trẻ sơ sinh cụ thể:
Trẻ 1 – 3 tuổi: 400mg
Trẻ 4 – 8 tuổi: 650mg
Trẻ 9 – 13 tuổi: 1.200mg
Trẻ vị thành niên 14 – 18 tuổi: 1.800mg
Bên cạnh đó cũng có liều giới hạn vitamin C cho một số trường hợp ngoại lệ cụ thể. Tuy nhiên, liều giới hạn ngoại lệ thường chỉ được áp dụng khi có sự đồng ý của các chuyên gia y tế.
Một số trường hợp đặc biệt cần bổ sung thêm vitamin C như: Người hút thuốc lá nên bổ sung thêm 35mg/ ngày so với liều khuyên dùng. Phụ nữ khi mang thai nên bổ sung 85mg vitamin C mỗi ngày. Phụ nữ đang cho con bú nên bổ sung 120mg vitamin C mỗi ngày.
