Vitamin B2 (riboflavin) is a water soluble vitamin and is one of 8 B vitamins, that we require for metabolism of nutrients (glucose, fats, proteins). In this lesson, we discuss the food (dietary) sources of vitamin b2 (riboflavin), why we need it (biochemical processes), how its absorbed and excreted, causes of riboflavin deficiency, symptoms and diagnosis and treatment.
PLEASE NOTE: As you can see, the doses here for treatment of migraines is very very high (400mg) compared to recommended daily intake.

What is B2 - also known as riboflavin? B2 is a water-soluble vitamin, so when you take it in, it has a relatively short half life. As a result it is very important to get daily intake so that you do not manifest the symptoms of b2 deficiency, such as:
