At the Vic-Wells Ballet, we observe her in two ballets.
Firstly, Dame Alicia is watching the corps de ballet in class practising for 'Swan Lake'. She is subsequently seen being partnered by Sir Robert Helpmann in part of the pas de deux from Act 1 of the ballet.

Parallels: Borovansky Ballet (Australian Ballet) and Vic-Wells Ballet (Royal Ballet)
As I watched film of the Borovansky Ballet’s Act Two of ‘Swan Lake’, I realised the humble beginnings of what were to become the Australian Ballet had resonances with the development the Vic-Wells Ballet to the Royal Ballet.
The 1946 or 1947 footage here shows Edna Busse as Odette, Serge Bousloff as Prince Siegfried, an unidentified dancer as Benno and members of the corps de ballet.
The Borovansky Ballet mounted ‘The Black Swan’ in 1950, and then the National Theatre Ballet finally presented the first full-length ‘Swan Lake’ in the country in 1951.
There is also in this video some newsreel film of Edna Busse in her costume as Odette talking to Tamara Tchinarova dressed as Zoebeide in ‘Scheherazade’ - they are supposedly chatting backstage in the interval between the two ballets. The ch...

Not So Well-Known British Male Dancers [1] - Brian Shaw
This is a television performance by Brian Shaw of part of a solo from ‘Les Rendezvous’, the first ballet Sir Frederick Ashton made for the Vic Wells later the Royal Ballet.
Looking over my channel just now, I was very surprised by the number of uploads Brian Shaw stared or appeared in:
‘Antoinette Sibley and Brian Shaw - Bluebird Variation from 'The Sleeping Beauty’'
'The Sleeping Beauty' - Sadlers Wells Ballet (Royal Ballet) 1955’ (as the Bluebird)
‘Birthday Offering’ – From a Travelogue Film of April 12, 1957’ (partnering Elaine Fifield)
A dancer who is often there but not particularly noticed.
