Delilah (/dɪˈlaɪlə/; Hebrew:דלילהDəlilah, meaning "[She who] weakened") is a character in the Hebrew bible Book of Judges, where she is the "woman in the valley of Sorek" whom Samson loved, and who was his downfall. Her figure, one of several dangerous temptresses in the Hebrew Bible, has become emblematic: "Samson loved Delilah, she betrayed him, and, what is worse, she did it for money," Madlyn Kahr begins her study of the Delilah motif in European painting.
The story of Samson in Judges 13–16 portrays a man who was given great strength by God but who ultimately loses his strength when Delilah allows the Philistines to shave his hair during his slumber (Judges 16:19). Samson was born into an Israelite family, the son of Manoah and his wife who is never named. Both are visited by the Angel of the Lord and told that their child will be a Nazirite from birth.
Biblical narrative
Delilah was approached by the lords of the Philistines, to discover the secret of Samson's strength, "and we will give thee, every one of us, eleven hundred pieces of silver." Three times she asked Samson for the secret of his strength, and all three times he gave her a false answer. The first time, he told her, "If they bind me with seven green withes that were never dried, then shall I be weak, and be as another man." Then he told her, "If they bind me fast with new ropes that never were occupied, then shall I be weak, and be as another man." The third time, he told her, "If thou weavest the seven locks of my head with the web...." On the fourth occasion, he gave her the true reason: that he did not cut his hair in fulfillment of a vow to God; and Delilah, when Samson was asleep on her knees, called up her man to shave off the seven locks from his head, then betrayed him to his enemies: "The Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house."
Yes, Virginia... is the second studio album by American dark cabaret band The Dresden Dolls, released in April 2006. The album was recorded in September 2005, with some extra vocal work and the mixing done the following November.
It is named after a reply to a letter run in the New York Sun in 1897 about the existence of Santa Claus (see "Yes, Virginia, there is a Santa Claus"). The first single from the album was "Sing". The album made its debut at number 42 on the US Billboard 200, selling 19,047 units in the first week. Other songs recorded during the studio session include "The Kill", "Boston", and "The Gardener", which were released on the No, Virginia... compilation in May 2008.

Tubthumping Lips
ok so this video is extra long because it's two runs. well, really only one and a half. see i was recording a run (this one) and got a pretty good score on the leaderboards so i figured i could probably do better score wise so i stopped recording (to save time ad space on my hard drive) and went to the Lips mic (so i could get all possible points from tambos and gestures. i ended up full combo'ing my first song in Lips and getting first by a landslide as you can see if you stick around till the end. i was able to record some of the stats screen (all the important things anyway). a full combo in Lips is a lot more difficult than one in rock band or even guitar hero. you must hit every single pitch of a song in Lips to keep combo whereas in GH or RB you can miss some nuances but still get a ...

anyway, this song is so win and is 1 of two major reasons i bought Lips Party Classics. the other is so i can use my USB mic and not sound terrible when i record a run. only downside to USB mic is you can't get the best scores because u can't do tambos or gestures on them. also, you can't choose when to use your "star stream" (aka star power) seeing as how i'm not really going for first in Lips though in doesn't really matter. it's more enjoyable with a wireless mic (because of the motion sensing features and the colored, mezmerising lights) but more practical for recording with a USB. this song was supposed to come out when RBN launched. it was slated as one of the original 112 tracks and i was extremely disappointed to find out that's it's still not up.
also, i've noticed that i sound a little laggy and it's because i can't compensate for the lag in this game. the lips microphones are laggy in nature and so 0 calibration works for them. but my mic has virtually no lag which would force me to have negative calibration which can't be done in lips so i have to purposely lag behind the song a little to do well.
some Lips mechanics and cool features to note:
1:33 anytime your current score breaks top 1000 on the leaderboards you will be notified with that little trophy and a number next to it. that number indicates your current ranking if you were to stop singing at that point. you can continue to see how close you are to getting first as you progress through the song. this is a really cool feature that i was rock band would integrate.
2:14 tambos. kinda fun in a party atmosphere but just shake the mic and it will do them
2:22 your avatar will occasionally come onto the screen and do a little motion. if you imitate it, you gain points. the best one of these is when it's like an acoustic guitar song and they have you doing a strumming motion.
2:32 me breaking combo for the first time this run. my multiplier was 380x at that point. obviously, an FC yield incredible amounts of points.
4:03 my crappy transition into when i started recording the stats screen of my fc run
6:05 leaderboard ownage
