Creedence Clearwater Revival - Travelin' Band
#CCR Creedence Clearwater Revival is undeniably one of the greatest rock bands of all time, with an instantly recognizable, raw, bayou sound, popularized in songs like "Proud Mary" and "Green River”. Since their formation in the 1960s, CCR has sold over 50 million records, while their songs remain in heavy rotation on the radio.
Though the band only released 7 studio albums in their too-short career, Creedence had an astonishing track record: eight consecutive gold singles ("Proud Mary," "Bad Moon Rising," "Green River," "Down on the Corner," "Who'll Stop the Rain," "Up Around the Bend," "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?") and eight consecutive gold albums. With music that sounds as fresh and compelling today as it did 30 years ago, CCR is one of a handful of ban...

“Travelin’ Band” by Creedence Clearwater Revival from the album Cosmo’s Factory.
About Travelin’ Band:
This music video offers a rare glimpse of the band on the road in 1969 and 1970—at the height of their international success—as the camera follows them from brightly lit stages to the hodgepodge of planes, buses, motorcycles and more, that brought them to perform for their growing number of adoring fans. This video releases in anticipation of Record Store Day’s exclusive Travelin’ Band (Live at the Royal Albert Hall) 7-inch available June 18, 2022. Mirroring the original double A-sided “Travelin’ Band”/ “Who’ll Stop the Rain” 45, which dropped in January 1970, this release showcases what were the band’s newest songs in a live setting. Side A features the first-time release of Royal Albert Hall performance of the song from April 14, 1970. Side B, meanwhile, offers a live version of “Who’ll Stop the Rain,” recorded at the Oakland Coliseum. Visit the following link to find your nearest participating independent retailer: https://found.ee/ccr-travelinband-rsd
About Cosmo’s Factory:
Cosmo’s Factory is the fifth studio album from Creedence Clearwater Revival, releasing in 1970 led by the “Travelin’ Band” and “Who’ll Stop the Rain” single which peaked at no. 2 on the Billboard charts. The former, with its on-the-nose lyrical depiction of the band’s new reality, found the band exploring a more traditional rock and roll sound compared to the “swamp rock” of their earlier releases. Cosmo’s Factory, which also features the hits "Lookin' Out My Back Door," "Run Through The Jungle," "Heard It Through The Grapevine," "Up Around The Bend" and "Long as I Can See The Light," has since been certified 4x-platinum.
About Creedence Clearwater Revival:
Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 1968 self-titled debut album introduced the world to guitar-playing brothers John and Tom Fogerty, drummer Doug Clifford, and bassist Stu Cook, four young men out of El Cerrito in the San Francisco Bay Area. Though they emerged in a place and time where trippy psychedelic visions were the order of the day, CCR bucked the trends and instead tapped into a rich, traditional seam of American music that connected to blues, country, rockabilly, gospel, folk and R&B.
During their short time together as a band (1968 – 1972), the band enjoyed an unparalleled period of creativity. They’ve sold over 30 million records in the U.S. alone, releasing 14 Top 10 hits, six Platinum albums (two of which went to number one) and one Gold album. They also managed to play over 150 tour dates around the world, including a headlining spot at Woodstock.
Creedence Clearwater Revival’s canon has become a part of the Great American Songbook. Songs like “Bad Moon Rising,” “Down on the Corner,” “Fortunate Son,” “Have You Ever Seen the Rain,” “Proud Mary,” “Born on the Bayou,” “Travelin’ Band” and “Up Around the Bend” have been ingrained into pop culture — not just as rock staples, but as classic standards.
With so many memorable songs that continue to grace our radio waves and television and movie screens, plus lyrics that still resonate today, Creedence Clearwater Revival is, truly, America’s greatest rock ’n’ roll band.

More than 50 years after that legendary show, the original multitrack tapes have been meticulously restored and mixed by GRAMMY®-winning producer Giles Martin and engineer Sam Okell. The 180g LP was mastered by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios using half-speed technology for the highest-quality listening experience.
The album is available on 180-gram vinyl, CD, cassette and digital formats (including ATMOS® immersive and hi-res audio). A Super Deluxe Edition Box Set will follow on November 18th, view more details and watch the unboxing video here: https://found.ee/ccr-rah-unboxing
Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall will be released concurrently with the documentary concert feature film, Travelin’ Band: Creedence Clearwater Revival at the Royal Albert Hall. Directed by two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Bob Smeaton (The Beatles Anthology and Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies) and narrated by Academy Award®-winning actor Jeff Bridges, the film takes viewers from the band’s earliest years together in El Cerrito, CA through their meteoric rise to fame. Featuring a wealth of unseen footage, Travelin’ Band culminates with the band’s show at the Royal Albert Hall—marking the only concert footage of the original CCR lineup to be released in its entirety.
The film is now available for streaming on Netflix, in the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, NZ, Latin America and Africa.

Well, I'm flying across the land, trying to get a hand

Playing in a travelin' band
Yeah!
Well, I'm flying across the land, trying to get a hand
Playing in a travelin' band
[Verse 3]
Listen to the radio talking about the last show
Someone got excited, had to call the state militia
[Chorus]
I want to move
Playing in a travelin' band
Yeah!
Well, I'm flying across the land, trying to get a hand
Playing in a travelin' band
Wow!
[Verse 4]
Here we come again on a Saturday night
With your fussing and your fighting, won't you get me to the right?

I want to move
Playing in a travelin' band
Yeah!
Well I'm flying across the land trying to get a hand
Playing in a travelin' band
Wow!
[Guitar solo]
[Outro]
Oh! I'm playing in a travelin' band
Playing in a travelin' band

Lyrics:
Seven Thirty Seven comin' out of the sky.
Oh! Won't you take me down to Memphis...
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Travellin' Band
Cosmo's Factory
Lyrics:
Seven Thirty Seven comin' out of the sky.
Oh! Won't you take me down to Memphis on a midnight ride,
I wanna move.
CHORUS:
Playin' in a Travelin' Band. Yeah!
Well, I'm flyin' 'cross the land, try'in' to get a hand,
Playin' in a Travelin' Band.
Take me to the hotel, Baggage gone, oh, well.
Come on, come on, won't you get me to my room,
I wanna move.
CHORUS
Listen to the radio, Talkin' 'bout the last show.
Someone got excited, Had to call the State Militia,
Wanna move.
CHORUS
Oh! WOW!
Here we come again on a Saturday night
Oh with your fussin' and a fightin'
Won't you get me to the rhyme,
I wanna move.
CHORUS
Oh! WOW!
Oh! I'm playin' in a Travelin' Band;
Playin' in a Travelin' Band.
Won't you get me, take me hand
Well, I'm playin' in a Travelin' Band,
Well, I'm flyin' 'cross the land.
Tryin' to get a hand,
Playin' in a Travelin' Band, OH! WOW!
