Move is the eponymous debut album by The Move, released on the Regal Zonophone label. The only one which was recorded by the group’s initial line-up before bassist Ace Kefford left, it includes both sides of their third and fourth singles ('Flowers in the Rain' and 'Fire Brigade'). 'Flowers in the Rain' was the first ever song played on Radio 1 in September 1967 by Tony Blackburn
Content
The album consisted of Roy Wood originals, and three cover versions that had featured prominently in their live set. "Weekend" was an Eddie Cochran song, and "Hey Grandma" had originally been recorded by US psychedelic band Moby Grape. "Zing Went the Strings of My Heart" was an old James F. Hanley standard, with an arrangement copied from The Coasters.
"Cherry Blossom Clinic"/"Vote for Me" single
The last track, "Cherry Blossom Clinic", was intended as a single at the end of 1967, and an acetate, with "Vote for Me" (a song which remained unreleased until 1997), was pressed. Release was cancelled, as the lyrics were about the inmate of a mental home, and in the wake of the controversy which had dogged 'Flowers In The Rain', with its promotional postcard featuring an allegedly libellous drawing of Prime MinisterHarold Wilson, it was felt that potential further allegations of bad taste and scandal would harm their career irreparably.
The film covers three days in the life of Hiram Jaffe (Gould), a would-be playwright who supplements his living as a porn writer and by walking dogs. He and his wife, Dolly (Paula Prentiss), are moving to a new apartment on New York's Upper West Side. Jaffe is beset by problems, including his inability to persuade the moving man to move the couple's furniture, and retreats into fantasy.
"California" is a song written by Joni Mitchell that first appeared on her 1971 album Blue. It was also released as the second single from the album, as a follow-up to "Carey."
Mitchell wrote "California" while living in France but longing for the creative climate she had experienced in California. In the song she expresses the depth of her longing for California by singing that if she was back in California she would even be willing to kiss a policeman, despite considering herself a member of the counterculture. Like "Carey", "California" takes the form of a travelogue and uses a stream of consciousness narrative technique.Pitchfork critic Jessica Hopper describes both songs as "how-Joni-got-her-groove-back ditties". The lyrics tell of her time in France, a trip she took to Spain and an excursion to a Greek island. At the end of each story in each location she expresses her desire to be back in California. The character that "Carey" was based on also appears in the second verse of "California". According to author Larry David Smith, Mitchell uses the descriptions in "California" as a strategy to demonstrate "principles associated with the Earth Mother manifesto."
The film was released in September 1993 in the United States, and received generally positive reviews from critics.
Plot
Brian Kessler (David Duchovny) is a graduate student in psychology as well as a journalist, who has written an article about serial killers, which draws interest from a publisher that offers him a book deal. After the book deal advance is spent, Brian realizes that he needs to start working on finishing his book. His girlfriend Carrie Laughlin (Michelle Forbes), a photographer, persuades him to move to California, and they decide to drive from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to California and visit infamous murder sites along the way. Short on funds, Brian posts a ride-share ad.
101 California is equipped with a total of thirty-two elevators, with twenty-two serving the tower; two serving floors 45 through 48; four serving the triangular annex building; two serving the garage; and two for freight. The eight stairwells throughout the building are intended for emergency use only.
1993 shooting
The building is the site of what has become known as the 101 California Street shootings, a mass murder which occurred there in 1993. On July 1, Gian Luigi Ferri, a disgruntled client of the law firm Pettit & Martin, entered their offices on the 34th floor and killed eight people and wounded six before killing himself. The event was a catalyst in the passage of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994, a drive initiated by California SenatorDianne Feinstein to ban assault weapons. A terraced garden in the plaza in front of the building is now dedicated to the victims.

Moby - Porcelain (The beach soundtrack)
The soundtrack ''Porcelain'' by the artist ''Moby'' is also known as ''The Beach soundtrack''. I made this movieclip with pictures of beautiful beaches in Thailand.
Moby - Porcelain is a famous song that is featured in the movie ''The Beach''. The movie takes place in Thailand. The movie has become famous because of the beautiful scenes of the famous beach ''Maya Bay''. Maya Beach is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches of the world. Maya Bay is part of the Phi Phi Islands that are located in the Andaman Sea in the Krabi province of Thailand.
Another reason that ''The Beach'' movie has become famous is because of the now famous actor Leonardo DiCaprio played the main role or leading rol in that movie.

Well he told me The highway called for him to hit it. So that's what he did. Now he regrets he ever did it now. To California. He said that's where he'd find his fortune. And where it's warmer The weather's warmer and the girls are scorching hot. He quit his job down at the diner. And then he loaded up his SUV. Just like a modern 49er. Except for the Schlager and the PCP. To California. He said he'd make it there come hell Or come high water. He isn't doing very well. He made it to Atlantic City. To try to double what he brought. Lost it to a voodoo girl named Kitty. Totaled the truck out in the parking lot. So he decided He was determined not to turn back. No way. So guess what he did? Well he snuck aboard an Amtrak Train. To California. He said that's where he'd find his fortune. And where it's warmer. The weather's warmer and the girls are scorching hot. To California. Just got a postcard in the mail. "Just to inform ya.
