It is usually romanised as Chan in Cantonese, most widely used by those from Hong Kong, and sometimes as Chun. The surname Chen is also used in Hong Kong Cantonese, but not as often. The spelling, Chan, is widely used in Macao and Malaysia. In Min (including dialects of Chaoshan (Teochew), Hainan, Fujian, and Taiwan), the name is pronounced Tan. In Hakka and Taishanese, the name is spelled Gin. Some other Romanisations include Zen (from Wu), Ding and Chern. Chen can be variously spelt Tan, Chan or Chin in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries.
Tonic is an American rock band that has earned two Grammy nominations. The band was formed in 1993 by Emerson Hart and Jeff Russo. Later members have included Dan Lavery, Kevin Shepard, Pierce Bowers, and Dan Rothchild. Signed to a recording contract in 1995, the band released its debut album Lemon Parade in 1996. The single "If You Could Only See" reached No.11 on the Billboard Airplay Hot 100, and Lemon Parade itself reached platinum status.
Tonic spent much of the next two years touring, adding to its reputation as a relentlessly gigging band. In addition to extensive touring Tonic produced other work, including songs for feature film soundtracks. After self-producing its 1999 album Sugar, Tonic released its third album Head on Straight in 2002. Tonic received two Grammy nominations from Head on Straight, including one for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for "Take Me As I Am", and one for Best Rock Album. The band then went on hiatus beginning in 2004 while its members pursued other musical endeavors. It wasn't until late 2008 Tonic became active again, embarking on a tour and releasing a greatest-hits compilation, all of which served as a prelude to their fourth studio album, 2010's Tonic. Since the release of that album, Tonic has continued to tour and remain active into the year 2015.
Tonic is a live album by experimentaljazz fusion trio Medeski Martin & Wood recorded at Tonic in New York City from March 16–20 and 23-26, 1999. Medeski Martin & Wood played their first live performance at Tonic on July 4, 1998, not long after the club opened in the Spring of 1998. Like their first album, Notes from the Underground, Tonic was recorded in their original acoustic format: piano, bass and drums. This format was replaced by electric alternatives brought about by the restrictions of touring during the early 1990s. The setting and format of Tonic is reminiscent of Medeski Martin & Wood's acoustic roots. The live performance was conducted in front of a 150 person audience that almost surrounded the musicians.
A hip hop skit is a form of sketch comedy that appears on a hip hop album or mixtape, and is usually written and performed by the artists themselves. Skits can appear on albums or mixtapes as individual tracks, or at the beginning or end of a song. Some skits are part of concept albums and contribute to an album's concept. Skits also occasionally appear on albums of other genres.
The Hip Hop Skit although dominant throughout the 90s and the early 2000s began to be phased out in the later half of the 2000s and the early 2010s. Reasons for this include the popularity of MP3 as well as the invention of the iPod Shuffle, which could only play tracks in a random order.
Writing for The AV Club, Evan Rytlewski opined that skits may have originally been in vogue because an expanded tracklisting would look more appealing to would be buyers, although he noted that their first inclusion on a De La Soul record was most likely just them being "eccentric".

Why Do So Many Koreans Have The Same Last Names? | Street Interview
As you know, the cultural differences between Asia and the West is vast, and a lot of you were asking us why so many Koreans seem to have the same last name. In fact, if you ever bumped into a Korean person, there is apparently a 45% chance that their surname is probably Kim, Lee, or Park. But is this true? And if so, it raises a lot of interesting questions, like what happens when they get married? How do Koreans even feel about having similar surnames from each other? We hit the streets of Seoul to find out.
The opinions expressed in this video are those of individual interviewees alone and do not reflect the views of ASIAN BOSS or the general Korean population.

To be very honest, I got rather shocked when I heard this song – because It seems too contemporary for the drama series. I was wondering if they classify this song under the wrong drama… 😂
But there’s one line in the lyrics which I really can’t make sense of – ‘如墨的夜景’. ‘夜景’ means ‘night scene’, ‘如墨’ means ‘like black ink’ literally. But if you think about it, you will need some light to be able to see the scenery at night. Yet if you use the adjective ‘like black ink’ to describe the night scene, doesn’t it imply that it’s all dark then? In that case, what kind of scenery can you see? So, in the end, I figure that perhaps the lyricist is trying to say that ‘this night scene is like an ancient landscape painting done with splashes of ink’. Then the song’s lyrics make sense.
Still, this is my sole interpretation. Do comment below if you think otherwise. I welcome all feedback and discussion!
