In a critical game for the LA Dodgers, down 2-1 to the New York Yankees in the 1977 World Series, Doug Rau runs into trouble in the top of the second inning. Tommy Lasorda, wearing a mic, gives fans an inside perspective of what it's like to be in a must-win game and having a struggling starter.
The guy trying to keep the peace during this "discussion" is team captain Davey Lopes who was right on with his comments to Rau.
I tried to sync the audio as best I can at the beginning, but with ABC's commercial break, it's broken up hence why you see the end of Rhoden's warm-up pitches and Nettles at bat.

Mickey Mantle: The Definitive Story (MLB Baseball Sports Documentary)
Mickey Mantle: The Definitive Story (MLB Baseball Sports Documentary)
The almost mythic career of Yankee slugger Mickey Mantle is the subject of this acclaimed HBO Sports documentary special. Over 18 seasons with the Bronx Bombers, despite constant nagging injuries, Mantle managed to hit 536 home runs, twice hitting more than 50 in a season. He finished ten seasons with a batting average of .300 or more and suited up for seven World Series. To this day, ?The Mick? remains the greatest switch-hitter in baseball history; however, behind his country charm and good looks there was his wayward lifestyle that harmed his marriage, his relationship with his four sons and ultimately his health.

Mickey Mantle's Home Run That Almost Left Yankee Stadium | New York Yankees
Pinstripes of the Past: No player ever hit a home run outside the confines of Yankee Stadium, but Mickey Mantle came the closest. On May 30, 1956, Mantle crushed a home run that reportedly came within 18 inches of leaving the stadium. It bounced back onto the field, was tossed back into the dugout, and then was given to Mantle's teammate Eddie Robinson, who then displayed it at his restaurant in Baltimore for many years. This homerun encapsulates the triple crown season Mickey Mantle had that year in 1956.
