The Wanderers (1979) - ''Leave the kid alone!''
A new guy arrives in town and lays waste to the feared Baldies in the underrated gang film THE WANDERERS.
The best moment is when Perry and Terror, the neighborhood bully, size each other up in a spaghetti western-style stare-down.
Do you think Terror backed down? Or was he just "waiting for the right moment", as Turkey put it?

The Wanderers (1979) - ''Leave the kid alone!''
Set against the urban jungle of 1963 New York's gangland subculture, this coming of age teenage movie is set around the Italian gang the Wanderers. Slight comedy, slight High School angst and every bit entertaining with its classic 1950's Rock n' Roll soundtrack such as "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons and "My Boyfriend's Back" by The Angels. Focusing around a football game where the different gangs play with and against each other, then at its grand finale, come together in a mass of union to defend their honour and their turf. Nostalgic stuff and above all a Rock n' Roll retrospective on a grand musical era. Timeless.

They will runThey will fight In the town, wartorn We'll strive to defeat them Or be sent away Shots ring out, fallen man Children cry to sleep No more faith in mankind Just hate, greed, and fear As we march through the storms Need for shelter drives us on We will be made to fear The wanderers The young man stands in front Hold his fear in close Back down, thought runs through him Freezing veins, cold as ice From across the deepest sea Sister weeps Mother mourns They can't bear to worry Their young boy may be dead As we march through the storms Need for shelter drives us on We will be made to fear The wanderers Purple hearts made of gold Don't mean much to me Go on, keep your medals Stained in blood
