The Wallflower(Japanese:ヤマトナデシコ七変化,Hepburn:Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge, lit. "Perfect Girl Evolution") is a manga series written by Tomoko Hayakawa. The individual chapters have been serialized in Bessatsu Friend since its premiere in 2000, and in 36 tankōbon volumes in Japan by Kodansha. The series was licensed for an English language release in North America by Del Rey Manga and in Singapore by Chuang Yi, under the name My Fair Lady. The series ended in January 2015 after 36 volumes.
Nippon Animation adapted part of the manga series into a twenty-five episode anime series which aired on TV Tokyo and TV Aichi from October 3, 2006 through March 27, 2007. The anime adaptation has been licensed for Region 1 release by A.D. Vision, who paid $500,000. In 2008, The WallFlower became one of over 30 ADV titles whose North American rights were transferred to Funimation Entertainment.
Plot
The Wallflower is about a girl named Sunako who was called ugly by the first and only person to whom she confessed her love. This incident sparks a life change, and as a result Sunako shuns all forms of beauty, both in herself as well as in life. Concerned by her change for the worst, Sunako's aunt, the owner of a huge mansion where four very handsome high school students live (for free), demands the boys to transform her niece into the "perfect lady," and in return they will be able to continue living there for free. They are given a deadline and if they are unable to uphold their deal then they would have to either pay a lump sum of cash or vacate the premises.
"The Wallflower" (also known as "Roll with Me, Henry" and "Dance with Me, Henry") is a 1955 popular song. It was one of several answer songs to "Work with Me, Annie" and has the same 12-bar blues melody.
It was written by Johnny Otis, Hank Ballard, and Etta James. Etta James recorded it for Modern Records, with uncredited vocal responses from Richard Berry, under the title "The Wallflower" and it became a rhythm and blues hit, topping the U.S. R&B chart for 4 weeks. It was popularly known as "Roll with Me Henry". This original version was considered too risque to play on pop radio stations.
In 1955, the song was covered for the pop market by Georgia Gibbs, with uncredited vocal responses from Thurl Ravenscroft, under the title "Dance with Me Henry". That version charted, hitting the top five of several pop charts, including number one on the Most Played In Juke Boxes chart on May 14, 1955, spending three weeks on top of that chart. In 1958, Etta James made her own cover version of "Dance with Me Henry".
The Blossoms are an American girl-group that initially originated from California. During their height of success in the 1960s, the group's lineup most famously consisted of Darlene Love, Fanita James, and Jean King.
Although the group had a recording career in their own right, they were most famous for being the group to actually record the #1 hit "He's a Rebel" (which producer Phil Spector credited to the Crystals), and for providing backing vocals for many of the biggest hits of the 1960s.
It has been said that the Blossoms were to the American West Coast what the Sweet Inspirations were to the East Coast and the Andantes were for Motown.
History
Early years: formation, name and lineup changes and inclusion of Darlene Love
Their career began in Los Angeles, California, while still in high school in 1954. Originally the group was a sextet of young girls singing for fun. Calling themselves The Dreamers the group originally sang spirituals since two of the members had parents who were against their daughters singing secular rhythm and blues music popular on the radio during the early 1950s.
1955 HITS ARCHIVE: The Wallflower (Dance With Me Henry) Etta James (orig pitched-up/reverbed single)
The Wallflower (James-Otis-Ballard) by Etta James with Richard Berry and The Peaches
As is the case with the also-posted single version of “Earth Angel” by the Penguins, here is a classic R&B hit that has rarely, if ever, been reissued on CD in its original ‘hit version’ form. Instead of the lower-pitched, dry unsweetened track we’re used to hearing, here is the brighter sounding #1 R&B single that was played on radio & juke boxes and purchased at record stores in the spring of 1955.
“The Wallflower” was the same-melody answer to the Hank Ballard-Midnighters R&B hit “Work With Me Annie.” However Etta’s suggestive “Roll with me, Henry” lyric was changed to “Dance With Me Henry” for the various pop covers that soon emerged, notably Georgia Gibbs’ chart-topping single (also posted). Etta James - Wallflower (Roll with me Henry)
Couldn't find the desired quality of this one either (on youtube), so I decided to put this up myself.
First heard this one in back to the future and it made me investigate a little further, apparently there's a ton of versions of this song. And the song is even a cover of one Called "Work with me Annie" or something like that. Well this is in my opinion the superior of all versions, enjoy.

1955 HITS ARCHIVE: Dance With Me Henry - Georgia Gibbs (a #1 record)
Dance With Me Henry (Wallflower) (James-Otis-Ballard) by Georgia Gibbs, orchestra and chorus conducted by Hugo Peretti
First there was the 1954 Hank Ballard/Midnighters R&B hit “Work With Me Annie,” then the Etta James’ answer record “The Wallflower” (also posted) with its non-family-friendly “Roll With Me Henry” lyric. Finally, changing “roll” to the more mainstream-acceptable “dance” resulted in this #1 pop disc for Gibbs, which for a time shared a spot in the top-10 with her previous million-seller “Tweedle Dee.”
THE 1955 HITS ARCHIVE - here in one place, a good-quality library of original-release-version best-sellers and songs that made an impact that were either released or enjoyed a major chunk of their popularity within the calendar year 1955 (some were recorded in 1954).

I've tried and tried to run and hide To find a life that's new But wherever I go I always know I can't escape from you A jug of wine to numb my mind But what good does it do? The jug runs dry and still I cry I can't escape from you These wasted years are souvenirs Of love I thought was true Your memory is chained to me I can't escape from you There is no end, I can't pretend That dreams will soon come true A slave too long to a heart of stone I can't escape from you
