History
The modern Thai capital market developed in two phases. The privately owned Bangkok Stock Exchange operated from 1962 to the early 1970s. The Second National Economic and Social Development Plan (1967–1971) established the Securities Exchange of Thailand to mobilize funds to support industrialization and economic development. This was the country's first officially sanctioned, supervised, and regulated securities market.
The Bangkok Stock Exchange
In 1961 Thailand implemented its first five-year National Economic and Social Development Plan to support the promotion of economic growth and stability and to develop the kingdom's standard of living. The Thai stock market began in July 1962 when a private group established an organized stock exchange as a limited partnership. The group later became a limited company and changed its name to the "Bangkok Stock Exchange Co., Ltd." (BSE) in 1963.
During the 1890s the stock exchange had become the symbol of capitalism in Germany. During 1894–1896 Weber wrote a number of essays about stock exchange, in which he argued against the popular view that the stock exchange was a fraudulent enterprise designed to abuse "the honest working people."
Weber in his research on the stock exchange concentrated on two subjects. First, he showed that commercialization could help create or destroy cultural values, sometimes doing both at the same time - it had destroyed the values of patriarchalism, but created the opportunities for farm workers. The stock exchange itself has facilitated the expansion of trade, but at the same time it did allow for new ways of crime and abuse. Second, Weber showed that economic conduct was an integral part of ideas related to pursuing economic interests, but those ideas have to be viewed separately.

Brazil defended their title, winning it for the fifth time, by defeating Spain in a rematch of the 2008 final 3–2 after extra time.
The host nation, Thailand, qualified automatically.

Venues
The matches were originally due to take place across four venues. Due to construction delays and failure to meet the security requirement, early matches scheduled at the Bangkok Futsal Arena were moved to the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium. After the final inspection on 5 November, FIFA announced that the Bangkok Futsal Arena had not sufficiently met the criteria. The two quarter-final matches would be played at Nimibutr Stadium, while Hua Mark Indoor Stadium would host the semifinals and the final.
