In a 1979 interview with The New York Times, performer Frank Oz outlined Piggy's biography: "She grew up in a small town in Iowa; her father died when she was young, and her mother wasn't that nice to her. She had to enter beauty contests to survive, as many single women do. She has a lot of vulnerability which she has to hide, because of her need to be a superstar." During development of The Muppet Show, Oz assigned a hook for each Muppet he performed; Miss Piggy's hook was a "truck driver wanting to be a woman". Oz has also stated that while Fozzie Bear is a two-dimensional character, and Animal has no dimensions, Miss Piggy is one of the few Muppet characters to be fully realized in three dimensions.
Muppets Most Wanted had its world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre in Los Angeles on March 11, 2014 and was released theatrically in North America on March 21, 2014. The film grossed $80.4 million worldwide.
Henson once stated that the term "Muppet" had been created as a blend of the words "marionette" and "puppet", but also claimed that it was actually a word he had coined. The Muppets debuted on the television program Sam and Friends, which aired locally on WRC-TV in Washington, D.C. from 1955 to 1961. After appearing on skits in several late night talk shows and advertising commercials during the 1960s, Henson's Muppets began appearing on Sesame Street when that show debuted in 1969. The Muppets then became the stars of multiple television series and films, including; The Muppet Show (1976–1981), The Muppet Movie (1979), The Great Muppet Caper (1981), The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984), and The Jim Henson Hour (1989). After Henson's death in 1990, The Muppets continued their presence in television and cinema with Muppets Tonight (1996–98), a series continuation of The Muppet Show, and three films, The Muppet Christmas Carol (1992), Muppet Treasure Island (1996), Muppets from Space (1999); the former two were co-produced with Disney, who sought to acquire the characters since the late 1980s. In 2004, Disney purchased the rights to the Muppets (except for the Sesame Street characters, which were sold separately to Sesame Workshop, as well as Fraggle Rock and other characters retained by The Jim Henson Company), and later formed The Muppets Studio; a division created specifically for managing The Muppets franchise.

Muppets Characters
Gonzo is a multi-talented artist who performs outrageous daredevil stunts. Though an odd looking creature, Gonzo takes pride in his uniqueness and enjoys every adventure he goes on with the Muppets including the occasional space voyage.
Rowlf the Dog is the Muppet’s resident piano player. One of the Muppets oldest characters, Rowlf rose to stardom by first plugging advertisements for his favorite dog-food brands on the original Muppets show. Rowlf the Dog is not the trusty Muppets sidekick always ready to help Kermit the Frog, Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the Muppets.
Animal is the wild drummer for the almost-legendary band, Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, who are the regular performers traveling with the Muppets. Animal is the official musical Muppet. Known for his outrageous style and unclear speaking voice, Animal is a crazed percussionist with three music style - loud, louder and loudest.
Pepe the King Prawn, lovingly known as Pepe, comes to the Muppets from Spain. Pepe moved to Hollywood to pursue his one true calling show business. Peep’s strong spanish accent makes it difficult for him to be understood.
Not one to leave the Muppet Lab too often, Beaker is the accident-prone assistant to Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Though often difficult to understand, due to his “Meep”, Beaker is known among the Muppets as the one who always gets hurt.
When the Muppets made it big, they needed to hire a fool-proof security guard. Thus, Bobo the Bear became head of Muppets security.
Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and his assistant Beaker are the resident scientists of the Muppets experimenting away in the Muppets Lab. Bunsen is always eager to show off his latest scientific discoveries to the Muppets.
Fozzie Bear is the world’s funniest—and only— stand-up comedy bear. From his beat-up hat to the “wocka wocka” that punctuates his punchlines, Fozzie is an “old school” comic. His jokes aren’t always great, but they are delivered with heart and Fozzie’s signature pazazz.
Miss Piggy is the ultimate diva, leading lady, fashion icon, star of stage, screen, and all media known and unknown in perpetuity throughout the universe. Miss Piggy has an appetite for the good things in life, including chocolate, jewelry, awards, and above all, her one true love, Kermit the Frog.
Kermit is the world’s most famous frog, but he has never let international success go to his head. Arguably one of Jim Henson’s most famous Muppet creations, Kermit the Frog has come a long way from his home, the swamp, to become one of TV’s most beloved characters.

I look around And once again I'm on my own My man ain't here He's gone and done me wrong No one's gonna stop this girl from having fun I throw my hands up high and have a party for one I'm having a me party; A party by myself A me party; I dont need nobody else I'm having a me party; I'm the first and last to show There's no one at this party that I don't already know I'm not gonna sit around by myself and wait for you Haven't you heard, "one is the new two" I'm gonna make a scene, I'm gonna make a fuss Tonight I'm gonna celebrate for just the one of us I'm having a me party; I don't need no invitation A me party; I just love the conversation Me party; But no one else there to You do the math, frog, It means I'm not with you I won't lie, there are times when I wish I was with you There are days when all this girl can see is a world that's made for two At times like this I feel all alone and it's like nobody cares But I only have to call my name and darling I'll be there I'm having a me party, haven't I seen you here before? A me party; I'm the last one on the dance floor Me party; A party just for one Me party; It's a solo mardi gras Me party; I'm such great company A me party; I'll save the last dance for me What happens at a me party Stays at a me party
