Doctor Who is a Britishscience-fiction television programme produced by the BBC from 1963 to the present day. The programme depicts the adventures of the Doctor, a Time Lord—a space and time-travellinghumanoidalien. He explores the universe in his TARDIS, a sentient time-travelling space ship. Its exterior appears as a blue British police box, which was a common sight in Britain in 1963 when the series first aired. Accompanied by companions, the Doctor combats a variety of foes, while working to save civilisations and help people in need.

The Brain's Challenge: Processing: Disambiguation
The bottleneck to reading isn't decoding, it's disambiguating the code.
This is a clip from the "Brain's Challenge" chapter of the Children of the Code Project.
It's used to show that taking too long to recognize a word 'stutters up' the flow of reading. It's the most common trait of struggling readers. It begs the question: what is taking so long?

Children At Play, 1940s - Film 33968
What children get up to when not at school.
Shots of cloakroom and teacher standing at blackboard drawing letters and looking at children in classroom, all young boys. They start writing in their exercise books and the teacher sits down at the front of class. One young boy starts doing some drawing instead of practising his letters. Clock is nearly at 4pm, shots of girls' class and they look at clock too. Older girl rings bell and then see children all rushing out. Run across the playing fields some with bikes

Old Films I watched as a child in the 1940's at 17 Pinn Way Ruislip
From as early as I can remember I was born in 1945, we had a hand cranked 9.5mm film projector which was taken down from the loft about twice a year, we always watched the same films.
A couple of weeks ago I found the old films and spent some time re-splicing them, I then transferred them to video.
There is a negative film of London in with them which I had only ever seen in negative, then a couple of nights ago after transferring them to video I was able to reverse it to positive.

I have sent a CD with them on to my sister in Kent now 80, Freda also remembers watching them many times : )

9. Natalie Wood - Movies like Tommorow Is Forever and Miracle on 34th Street made Natalie Wood one of the most popular child stars of the 40s. She was so popular that in the late 40s Macy's invited her to appear in their annual Thanksgiving Day parade.
8. Scotty Beckett - A popular child actor in the 40s he became even more popular in the 40s playing prominent roles in major Hollywood movies alongside A list superstars, usually playing the stars son or the star as a boy.
7. Shirley Temple - Shirley Temple in her teen years was not the phenomenon she was as a small child in the 30s, but she was still very popular. Her first onscreen kiss with Dickie Moore was such a big deal that for a few days it knocked WW2 news off the front pages of newspapers around the world.
6. Peggy Ann Garner - Peggy Ann Garner made a name for herself appearing in many popular films during the 1940s. The peak of her career came when she was 12 and won a juvenile academy award for her performances in 1945.
5. Dean Stockwell - As a child star Dean Stockwell was known as the serious kid because he always played parts in dramatic or serious films. While he didn't like doing these films they were a huge part in establishing him as a Hollywood heavyweight that would go on to enjoy a 70 year + career.
4. Roddy Mcdowall - Roddy Mcdowall like Freddie Bartholomew before him was British, but unlike Freddie Bartholomew who became a star for playing sweet and optimistic children Roddy became a star for playing characters affected by the ongoing WW2.
3. Elizabeth Taylor - Elizabeth Taylor started her career as a child star in movies like Lassie Come Home and National Velvet. In those early roles it was clear that she had the charisma and acting abilities that would eventually make her one of the most famous women in Hollywood history.
2. Bobby Driscoll - Bobby Driscoll was the first ever actor to be placed under contract by Disney. His roles in Disney's live action movies in the late 40s turned him into a major child star.
1. Margaret O'Brien - Margaret O'Brien was the biggest child star of the 40s. Known for her convincing acting style unusual for a child of her age in that era and her ability to cry on que her appearances in some of the 40s biggest hits made her a box office favourite and won her a juvenile academy award.

Children are seen running and climbing over gates into country, past some cows.
They pick up sticks and jam jars and go to the streams to go fishing. The four boys cross a dam over the stream and sit along the bank. They try and catch some fish and then one of them falls into the stream. Mother looks out of window and sees the boys returning. She comes out and sees her son wet and pulls him into the house.
One boy watches from behind a bush.
Make believe 2 young girls playing at being nurses at home with doll. They're wearing some sort of scarf headress. Boy playing with meccano.
At 4'41 evening, shot of boy up an apple tree scrumping or picking apples and throwing to boy below. Cow chewing the cud in field.
Several boys running towards a hayrick, go up a ladder next to it and slide down. Commentary over re farming is a serious business but children don't conform to a grown up's view. More shots of boy in tree trying to shake the apples off whilst boy below looks around to see if anyone's coming. More shots of boys being chased by farmer with a stick.
Boys pulling a guy looking like Adolf Hitler along on trolley with swastika at the front. One boy collects money from people by holding out his cap. Shots of children jeering whilst watching the guy go up in flames.
Young girl practising her scales at the piano, then starts to day dream about being concert pianist with piano music playing over. Her dog is sitting by fire and then runs over and wakes up the girl from her dream, she picks him up.
Boys are seen playing football, then girls playing netball. Then children are cheering on others who are jumping over hurdles and running for the tape. Others are trying to catch apples on strings - individual achievement is tempered with team spirit so important for future citizenship. Games being played in playground, oranges and lemons, then dancing round the maypole. and tug o'war.
Children walking across field and then climb over the gate, voice over regarding children being the future of the nation, In the years to come they will make their own world, with more shots of the children walking and jumping over ditches and voice over says and that it'll be a better one than ours today. View of children linking hands at top of the hill.

Ncuti Gatwa made his debut as the Fifteenth Doctor on BBC’s Doctor Who, alongside Millie Gibson as his companion Ruby Sunday. Doctor Who showrunner Russell T. Davies has returned to the series years after his last run with David Tennent as the Tenth Doctor. Joining IGN at San Diego Comic Con, Ncuti, Millie, and Russell discuss the show and look back at some of its most iconic villains.
Fan favorite characters returned, including former companions Donna Noble and Kate Lethbridge-Stuart. The Doctor also got a new love interest in the form of Jonathan Groff’s Rogue. Now airing on Disney Plus, Doctor Who episodes now have a new platform to draw in a broader audience–especially as Ncuti himself draws fans from his roles in Barbie and Sex Education.
Check out IGN’s full interview with Ncuti, Millie and Russell at Comic Con 2024 and catch Doctor Who streaming on Disney Plus.

Both versions are in the video one after the other.
I have sent a CD with them on to my sister in Kent now 80, Freda also remembers watching them many times : )
God Bless Allen & Alanna
through timeless ages in words of sages a great mystery lies of the child inside in whom we confide to unshroud the secret we try I've seen this place I've been here before I've seen what mankind has in store (but time is so concealing) his vision recoursed through sands of time his fabled riddle finds reason in rhyme of the most distant reaches and what it teaches where does the truth lie? I've seen his face and this familiar place the echoes silent but the message bright a message comes through the night but the myth veils our second sight a glimpse of what may lie beyond
