The Anglican Communion is an international association of independent churches consisting of the Church of England and of national and regional Anglican churches in full communion with it. The status of full communion means, ideally, that there is mutual agreement on essential doctrines and that full participation in the sacramental life of each church is available to all communicant Anglicans.
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Primate of All England, has a place of honour among the bishops of the Anglican churches. He is recognized as primus inter pares, or first among equals. The archbishop does not exercise authority in the provinces outside England, but instead acts as a focus of unity.
The churches of the Anglican Communion considers themselves to be part of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and to be both Catholic and Reformed. For some adherents Anglicanism represents a non-papal Catholicism, for others a form of Protestantism though without a dominant guiding figure such as Luther, Knox, Calvin, Zwingli or Wesley. For others, their self-identity represents some combination of the two. The communion encompasses a wide spectrum of belief and practice including evangelical, liberal and Catholic.
The Anglican Church of the Resurrection is a church located in central Bucharest, Romania, near Grădina Icoanei, at the intersection of Xenopol street and Arthur Verona street. The church is built with red bricks and it has English language service every Sunday between 10 and 11 AM, a small English fiction library and a Sunday School.
History
The land over which the church was built was given by the Commune of Bucharest to the British Crown in December 1900, the erection of the building being finished in 1914, but the interiors (with furnishings from England) were finished only after World War I. The first service was held in 1920, being dedicated on November 5, 1922 by the Bishop of Gibraltar.
During World War II, the church was closed, being taken care by a church guardian and cleaner who was paid by the Swiss Embassy. It was reopened only on Christmas Day 1944, with the help of Royal Navy and American military staff. After the communists seized power in Romania, there was no permanent chaplain, services being held by visiting priests on a monthly basis. Starting 1966, the church once again had a permanent priest. The current priest is Martin Jacques.
The foundation of the church dates back to 1863 thanks to the first British guests who resided here from October to May, some settling permanently. The first faithful gathered in prayer at the '"Hotel d'Angleterre", today known as Villa Eugenia, located in Via Vittorio Emanuele 218. With the rapid rise of the British population, the bishop of Gibraltar appointed a pastor for the city of Bordighera, Reverend Henry Sidebottom.
When the Hotel d'Angleterre also became too small, the community of believers was hosted by Mrs. Walker Fanshawe in her private chapel in the park of Villa Rosa. In 1873, Mrs. Fanshawe donated a portion of its park to build a real church.

What is an Anglican?
I often get asked what the word "Anglican" means or "what is an Anglican." Anglicans are first and foremost Christians. We follow Jesus in the Anglican way which includes elements of the evangelical, catholic, and charismatic traditions. Anglicanism isn't the only way to follow Jesus, but it is a reliable way of being a Mere Christian.

Anglican groups like ACNA will not strictly speaking fall under this definition but still believe it is important to trace their historical lineage back to the Church of England of old, and adhere to the sources of Anglicanism that this video looks at. Moreover, groups like the ACNA maintain ties with GAFCON and the Anglican Churches of Africa that are still in communion with Canterbury.
