What is Talent Management?
Talent Management is a cycle of activities that attract, retain, and engage talented employees. Talent Management is centered on employee learning, through training and development.
Recruiting is the process of generating a pool of qualified candidates for a job. A job interview is a type of selection test that involves a conversation between a job applicant and employer. Selection is the systematic process of hiring the right person for the right job and the right time. The onboarding process acclimates employees to the organization and their job, providing the tools and resources they need to succeed.
While many other functional areas of HR complement talent management, the core activities of recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and onboarding define it.
