David Bromberg (born September 19, 1945) is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. An eclectic artist, Bromberg plays bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz, country and western, and rock and roll equally well. He is known for his quirky, humorous lyrics, and the ability to play rhythm and lead guitar at the same time.
Bromberg has played with many famous musicians, including Jerry Jeff Walker, Willie Nelson, Jorma Kaukonen, Jerry Garcia, Rusty Evans (The Deep) and Bob Dylan. He co-wrote the song "The Holdup" with former Beatle George Harrison, who played on Bromberg's self-titled 1972 album. In 2008, he was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Bromberg was born in Philadelphia, and raised Jewish in Tarrytown, New York. He attended Columbia University in the 1960s, studying guitar with Reverend Gary Davis during that period.
Proficient on fiddle, many styles of acoustic and electric guitar, pedal steel guitar and dobro, Bromberg began releasing albums of his own in the early 1970s on Columbia Records. His seven-minute rendition of "Mr. Bojangles" from 1972's Demon in Disguise, interspersed with tales about traveling with song author Jerry Jeff Walker, earned Bromberg progressive rock radio airplay. In 1973, he played mandolin, dobro, and electric guitar on Jonathan Edwards' album Have a Good Time for Me.
David Bromberg is an album by American multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter David Bromberg. His first solo album, it was released by Columbia Records in early 1972.
The album was reissued on CD by Wounded Bird Records in 2007.
Writing for Allmusic, critic William Ruhlmann wrote of the album, "This one finds the artist determined to demonstrate the range of his talent, and that range extends from pop/rock to bluegrass, with lots of blues and folk-blues thrown in... Bromberg may still be more of a player than a frontman, and more of a tradtionalist than a songwriter, but this disc presents a new wrinkle in some very familiar styles, suggesting that it's possible for an accomplished sideman to move downstage and take over the spotlight."

David (Spanish pronunciation: [daˈβið]) officially San José de David is a city and corregimiento located in the west of Panama. It is the capital of the province of Chiriquí and has an estimated population of 144,858 inhabitants as confirmed in 2013. It is a relatively affluent city with a firmly established, dominant middle class and a very low unemployment and poverty index. The Pan-American Highway is a popular route to David.
The development of the banking sector, public construction works such as the expansion of the airport and the David-Boquete highway alongside the growth of commercial activity in the city have increased its prominence as one of the fastest growing regions in the country. The city is currently the economic center of the Chiriqui province and produces more than half the gross domestic product of the province, which totals 2.1 billion. It is known for being the third-largest city in the country both in population and by GDP and for being the largest city in Western Panama.
David is a 1988 American television movie, the true story of a child named David Rothenberg, who was burned by his father. This made-for-television film co-starred Matthew Lawrence as David, Bernadette Peters as his mother, and John Glover as his father. It aired on ABC.
The film is based on a book written by Marie Rothenberg and Mel White and relates the true story of David, a child who was burned over 90 percent of his body by his father. The parents were estranged and the non-custodial father, Charles Rothenberg, fled with David in tow to California, but quickly decided that he could not care for David alone. However, rather than return David to his mother's care, the elder Rothenberg used kerosene to set fire to his son while the boy slept in a hotel room. The movie shows how his mother, Marie Rothenberg, coped with the crisis, and the courage and determination of David.

David was a Spanish company manufacturing cars in Barcelona between 1913 and 1923 and again between 1951 and 1957.
The original cars, developed by José Maria Armangué, were cyclecars using either a single cylinder 6–8 hp, or four-cylinder 6–8 hp, or 10–12 hp engine; and belt and pulley transmission giving 16 speeds and featuring front wheel brakes. Bodies were usually open two-seater, but 3-seat and closed versions were also made. Cyclecar production seems to have stopped in 1923, but the company continued making taxi bodies for fitting on Citroën chassis, for which they were Spanish distributors.
Car production started again in 1951 with a new generation of 3-wheeler light cars powered by single-cylinder two-stroke engines of 345 cc and 3-speed gearboxes. About 75 were made.

"Chicago" is a song by American recording artist Michael Jackson. The song was originally recorded during the Invincible recording sessions under the name "She Was Lovin' Me". A reworked version of the song was included in Jackson's posthumous album Xscape.
It was first revealed that "Chicago" would be the first release from the Xscape album. However, plans changed and "Love Never Felt So Good" became the debut release instead.
The song was released on May 5, 2014 on Sony Entertainment Network as a promotional single for promoting Xscape.
The song's "Papercha$er Remix" was made available for select Sony customers through Xperia Lounge and Music Unlimited as Track 9 of the standard edition.

Jerry Jeff Walker & David Bromberg perform together in Austin, Texas on 2-27-87, as broadcast in stereo on public television. BetaGems are culled from an archive of over 1000 beta video tapes recorded from 1983 into the 1990s. Most feature live music performances broadcast on television in San Diego CA, though there are also rarely seen commercials, comedy clips, and other material that doesn't seem to be anywhere else on Youtube or online. Most of the tapes were recorded on a Sony SL-HFT7 Super Beta Theater Hi-Fi Stereo - the same model was refurbished and is being used for these digital transfers and uploads. In rare occasions where a BetaGems clip does appear elsewhere, we're only uploading if our own beta master is better quality or contains material not seen previously. Much footag...
Philadelphia Folk Festival This video is an historical document. It shows a very important point, the beginnings of jamgrass. It show the nexus of traditional music and what John Hartford called "that New York sensibility" (weed fueled organic improvisational music). Hartford & Bromberg met at the 1970 Philadelphia Folk Festival. They made an immediate connection and were inseparable, a spark was made, the fuse was lit. Bromberg was scheduled to play solo he instead formed an hoc band and invited John. (The first time Bromberg played in public with a band) John said he was greatly inspired by Bromberg's creative attitude and shortly after this fest, he asked Bromberg to produce his seminal jamgrass album, Steam Powered Aereo Plain. And the rest is history, as they say.

DB live performing Jerry Jeff Walker's Mr. Bojangles. Arguably, this is the best version you're ever going to hear of this song. You should look up Bromberg's version of MR BLUE which I also posted. You won't believe it's the same song that is so familiar to you. The Fleetwood's doo wop version is so lah-di-dah you forget what the song is about. Listen to Bromberg's version. His interpretation will drop your jaw.

You’ve hurt me for the last time
Yeah you finally went and broke my only rule
It’s the last time
you finally went and broke my golden rule
I’ll be your lover or your friend darling
But I’ll be goddamn if I’m ever gonna be your fool
I will be there when you need me baby
but I don’t wanna be your toy -- listen here
If a plaything is all you want me for
You can get up, go out and get yourself another boy
Because I took that class
I graduated Phi Beta goddamn Kappa from that school
I’ll be your lover or your friend darling
But I’m never, ever, ever gonna be your fool
I gave you all I had to give honey
I sincerely tried to keep you satisfied
I gave you everything I own
I truly tried to keep you satisfied
I gave you all my heart, my love, my car, my money, my
house, my children
The least you coulda done was let me keep one small,
tiny shred of my pride
I would work for you all day
And I would love you all night
I swore and promised to stand beside you baby when
you’re wrong, yeah when you’re right
But look here sugar lips
There’s one thing in this life that I’d never ever do
for you
I’ll be your lover or your friend darling – yes I will
But I refuse to be your fool
(INSTRUMENTAL)
Well you gambled with my love this time sweetheart
But I want you to understand this is one time you
finally lost your bet
You’re gambling with my love
This time you lost the bet
Hey look any man dumb enough to hang around for the
kind of stuff you hand out
Would deserve every low-kick rotten-leg dirty trick you
and I both know that he’d get
I know you just cooked up this mess to find out exactly
Long you could keep me stuck in it
Pick up your telephone dial information ask for the
time
You can calculate it to the last goddamn minute, now
look-
You did not have to hurt me baby
No you did not need to be that cruel
I’ll be your lover or your friend darling
I’ll be Goddamn, 6 feet under ground, dead in my grave,
buried and long forgot
I’ll be so long gone and forgot that my flesh will have
turned and returned to the nutrients and elements and
the molecules from which it originated
I mean to say that the genus and species of worms that
used to crawl in and out of the sockets of my eyelid
holes will vanish from the face of the earth
I need to say I’ll see the earth leave its orbit
I’ll wear the rings of Saturn for a ring around my
little pinky
I’ll let your sister marry a Venutian
I will see you dead
I’ll see your lover dead
I’ll see his lover dead
I’ll see his lover dead
I’ll see his lover dead
I’ll see that faggot dead
I’ll see everyone you ever knew, loved, touched, stood
next to, heard of, smelt, felt, dreamed about in your
life or any of your descendant’s lives -- down to the
168th person
Roasted and tortured in hell
For 1 billion trillion years
16 eternity’s
27 forevers
11 thousand years after that before I will be your
