He started his career at the radio station Rajkot in Gujarat as a 20-year-old boy. After having spent eight years in Rajkot very happily, he got a chance to play with Lata Mangeshkar during her visit to Rajkot. This proved a turning point for him. Thereafter he was transferred to the Mumbai radio station.Having joined the Mumbai radio he was not only deeply involved with the Mumbai classical music circuit but also with film industry music.
He gave his first performance at the All-India Conference at the age of eleven, and has performed on an international scale with Ravi Shankar on George Harrison's 1974 Dark Horse World Tour.
The light of Christ is a concept in Christianity deriving from several passages in the New Testament. One of the main reference points for 'the light of Christ,' is in the prologue of John's Gospel, John 1:9, "That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world" (KJV Bible). Another is the Apostle Paul's citation "Christ will shine on you" (Ephesians 5:14).
The light of Christ is a doctrine of the Latter Day Saint movement, including The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church), that is defined as "the divine energy, power, or influence that proceeds from God through Christ and gives life and light to all things." The light of Christ is "the law by which all things are governed in heaven and on earth" and is often said to bestow conscience upon people. The doctrine teaches that the light of Christ is given to every person.
Care is often taken to distinguish the light of Christ from the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is believed to be a divine spirit personage and a member of the Godhead who can exert spiritual influence on mortals. The light of Christ is not a personage and is more ubiquitous and universal: "Wherever there is human life, there is the Spirit of Christ." Any person can feel the Holy Ghost from time to time, but only people who have been baptized and confirmed by the appropriate priesthood authority can have the Holy Ghost with them always. The light of Christ guides people to the gospel of Jesus Christ and prepares them for the time that they will receive the Holy Ghost through confirmation.

Ustad Sultan Khan sings a Rajasthani Folk Song
The Sarangi Maestro Ustad Sultan Khan was a soulful musician - his Sarangi evoking the most delicate of human feelings and sentiment. During a Sama Arts concert at the Royal College of Music in London in October 1990 he presented a performance tracing khayal compositions of the legends like Ustad Faiyaz Khan, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan and Ustad Amir Khan. The concert was released by Navras Records on a double CD album titled "The Legend Continues" (NRCD 0112/3). Accompanying him on the tabla was the great Pakistani percussionist Ustad Shaukat Hussain Khan and Loveleena Labroo on Tanpura . Sultan Khan Saheb ended the concert with a most moving rendition of a Rajasthani folk melody based on Raga Mishra Shivranjani - both in his voice and with the Sarangi accompaniment. There are momentary flaws in the video picture but it takes nothing from the enjoyment of the sheer beauty of the experience going back over 30 years.
